Backyard Beach! 50 Steps to the Sand with Bay Views and Ocean Blues

Light and bright, fully furnished 1br/1.5ba upstairs unit in small building on the peninsula! It is the only upstairs unit so there are no shared walls! It is situated one house from the sand so you can walk to the beach in less than 50 steps! Walk to the ocean, bay, restaurants, markets, and bus. Less than a mile to Newport Pier and half an hour to Disneyland and Knott’s Berry Farm. About an hour to downtown Los Angeles and an hour-and-a-half to San Diego. Lots of amenities and free WiFi! ONE PARKING SPACE IN THE PRIVATE SHARED GARAGE WILL BE PROVIDED TO GUESTS!

This is a remodeled upstairs unit that features a large private deck with bay views - the perfect place to relax and read a book or grill up something delicious (or watch the famous Newport Beach Boat Parade at Christmas OR a panoramic view of fireworks from Disneyland to the Dunes at 4th of July)! It also has newer carpet throughout with tile floors in bathrooms and kitchen. It boasts granite counters in kitchen, stainless steel appliances (range, built-in oven, microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker and water dispenser), and a washer and dryer on the premises. Property features updated windows as well!

Linens and bathroom towels are included. Weekly and nightly all-inclusive rate with no extra taxes or fees beyond what is listed! Great value in a great location!

Unit sleeps a maximum of 5. There is a king size bed in the bedroom and two fold out sofa beds in the living room: one queen size and one twin size. Kitchen includes basic cooking utensils, pots and pans, silverware, cups, plates, coffee maker, blender, and a toaster. Huge dining room with table and chairs. There is a BBQ, table, and chairs on the deck. Cable TV and WiFi are included. Street parking is also available. Beach equipment (chairs, surfboards, bikes, etc.) rentals are available at 15th Street Surf Shop less than a block away.

Come to the beach and relax! Our home is the perfect place to get away!

Awesome beach house

This charming house is the perfect location for exploring the balboa peninsula on foot or bikes! Beautiful views front and back, the bay at night is magic, walking the beach in the morning to get donuts even better! Having a place to park and keep bikes is priceless! Clean too, sheets, bedding all the good stuff for being comfy and suprisingly quiet at night for being right in the middle of all the lovely beach things!

Wonderful Location

Our family loved staying at Matt’s place. Matt is very responsive, communicative, and the check-in process is easy. We’ve stayed at several places throughout the peninsula and thought this unit wss in a perfect location - far enough away from the pier to avoid the craziness but close enough to walk there in 10 minutes. The place itself is cozy, quaint, and comfortable and equipped with all the essentials. We were easily able to attend an Angels game and take the kids to Disneyland. We hope to return in the future!

This beach house was absolutely perfect for our family getaway! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how spacious and welcoming it felt. Being just steps from the sand was an absolute dream – we could go from coffee on the deck to toes in the ocean in mere minutes, which was fantastic with three energetic kids in tow.The house offered plenty of space for everyone to spread out, ensuring comfort and privacy. We especially appreciated the great garage parking, which made coming and going incredibly convenient and stress-free. Beyond the fantastic location and ample room, the house itself was wonderfully clean and comfy. It truly felt like a home away from home.We had such a memorable and relaxing stay, and we would visit again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a perfect beach escape.

We had an amazing stay at this home just off 16th! The location was unbeatable as it was close to the sand and a short walk to our favorite places - Seaside Donuts, Pipeline, and Bonzai. The home was spotless, well-stocked, and exactly as described. We especially appreciated the comfortable beds, easy access, and grill on the patio. It was quiet without being too far away from the pier. Matt the host was responsive, friendly, and made everything a breeze. He takes great care of the property and genuinely wants guests to enjoy their stay. We were introduced to this property by a friend and are already recommending it to others. Our family would absolutely come back and highly recommends this place to anyone looking for a relaxing beach vacation!

Fabulous Location

This property has it all; location, space, comfort and convenience. You can sit on the deck and watch the boats in the harbor or look out the back window and see the ocean. The beach is only steps away and you can hear the waves at night, very relaxing. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. Thank you Matt.

This apartment is the best location. Walking distance to the beach. My family and I enjoyed our stay. We relaxed, laughed and played hard. It was just what we needed. Best Vacation in Two Years

Matt was very nice and always available to make sure we had everything we needed and that we were having a good time. We never took our car out of the garage. Everything is within walking distance and we had the time of our lives. The bed was so comfortable and we enjoyed Matt's family home very much. Very Clean and we Loved looking at the Marina in the mornings and evenings. The beach is literally 50 steps away. Beautiful property and would definitely stay there again in the future.

Second Stay

This was our second time staying at Matt’s Beachhouse. The location is the BEST and we love the Home feel of the Beachhouse. Matt the owner is exceptional to work with, honest and very attentive. He responds immediately with any concerns or questions getting them handled. We love staying there and have recommended it to our friends because it’s such a good deal and such a good experience, we will be back!

Fantastic vacation home!

We absolutely love this place! The location is fantastic. A short walk to the Newport Pier and an even shorter walk to the beach. The trolley that runs on the weekends stops just across the street and takes you right to Balboa for free! This property is close enough to all the action but just far enough away to still be a quite and peaceful place to relax. We also love the extra large patio looking out at the harbor. It was a great place to drink coffee in the morning and have a glass of wine at the end of the day. This was our second year staying at this property and we will definitely be back again next year.

Amazing location, beautiful property

My boyfriend and I were here for my birthday trip. There was plenty of food options for all three meals. everything we wanted/needed was all walking distance. The beach was absolutely gorgeous, very family friendly wasn’t super busy, and the water was very refreshing. No issues whatsoever. Matt’s home was equipped with everything we needed as well, very comfortable and felt like a home.

Perfect beach getaway!

Perfectly located, feet from the beach, this simple and perfectly functional property was just what we needed to unwind for a few days... Vacation Paradise

The location is perfect. We walked every where from pier tp pier to Lido. Steps away from the beach and across the street from the lighthouse restaurant and marina park. Very comfortable bed. Nice cross breeze from front to back. Large deck. All the amenities you could ask for. If you want to cook. Or grill. But many restaurants options are close. Garage parking was a blessing. Communication was excellent and we look forward to working with Matt again. And many future stays. The Turners

Lovely place!

It was perfect for what we needed. Close to my family and other destinations we had planned. It was very peaceful, clean and cozy with everything you would need. The beach was just at the end of the block just a few steps as was said and it was beautiful. Everything you could need was within walking distance. It was a great place to forget everything and just enjoy. The host kept in touch and responded quickly. We enjoyed every moment. Thank you to the host for sharing his lovely vacation apartment.

Perfect location

Great location, nice place

We really enjoyed our stay here. Matt was very helpful and showed us around the house upon our arrival. Very clean and plenty of room for us. It was great to be able to watch the sail boats go by across the street in the harbor from inside the house or out on the large deck. Beach chairs are provided, BBQ, plenty of room on deck for eating outside. Perfect! Walking distance to many fun things to do: paddleboarding, kayaking, sailing or renting a Duffy to putt around the harbor. Beach and boardwalk are very close. Lots of restaurants and plenty to do and see.

We are in town to work remotely and be near family in the area and Matt's place is so wonderful and is a perfect fit for us, so much so we decided to extend our stay. The location couldn't be better it is literally steps away from the beach (this was awesome!!). This is a great area and you can walk to both Newport & Balboa pier, places to eat, little market down the street, bike rentals, and just about anything you could need/want. The unit is upstairs and has a spacious patio with table, chairs, and bbq grill. It was bigger than we expected (which is always great) we had enough space to spread out and be comfortable. The dining area was wonderful for working remotely and also enjoy meals together (but we tried to eat outside on the patio as much as possible). The place was very well organized, clean, and had most everything you could need for a short/long stay. There is a full kitchen with all that you would need to cook meals. Garage parking was so very helpful to have as we needed to park 2 vehicles (street parking wasn't a problem as we expected so close to the beach). Since we had a long stay having laundry onsite was really great also and lastly the neighbors are super friendly! Matt is a very thoughtful and super nice host. He thinks of every little thing to ensure his guests have a great comfortable stay. We literally felt like it was our home and cared for it as it was our home. We are looking forward to our extended stay here and also will always look to book his unit in the future when we return to OC.
