About this property
Special Cabin -Close to Yellowstone w/ Remote Setting
Perched on a ridge overlooking Tom Miner basin to the South and Rock Creek to the North, the Flying K is a hospitable cabin getaway designed for the discerning guest.
Sit on the porch and watch deer or elk cross the meadow to drink at a spring on the property; keep your balcony door open at night and listen to the coyotes howl as they greet the moon; the opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors is as wild as your imagination.
With such near proximity to the Yellowstone river, National Forest land and a multitude of activities from horseback riding to kayaking, the Flying K makes a splendid headquarters for a Summer vacation for the outdoor minded.
Or... If you just want to get away from it all, there's no better location than the 'last best place' as Montana is often referred to! The site of the cabin will provide you with as much solace as you desire, aside from some 4 footed characters who share the backyard.
The location is ideal. Less than an hour from Gardiner, Montana, the NE entrance to Yellowstone National Park, an hour drive from Livingston and just 1.5 hours from the Bozeman airport puts you at the center of some beautiful country with many choices.
The wi-fi is fast enough to accommodate VOIP for communication or Verizon is the best mobile phone vendor for the area.
The upstairs has a king size bed and then a trundle bed with extra long twin and regular twin. A crib is available upon request.
A four wheel drive vehicle is highly recommended as it is 8 miles up a Forest Service Road to access the property.
Keywords: Mountain Views with hiking & biking trails. Quick access to fishing, kayaking, rafting and Yellowstone Park. A special spot on a secluded lot bordering National Forest Land.

About the host
Hosted by Tamara Libbey

I was raised on an island in the middle of the Yellowstone River & grew up loving & appreciating the scenery, wildlife and activities that are part of the wonder-fullness of living in such beautiful country.
After leaving the state for work, I continued to return home & then, we had the opportunity to purchase property & build a cabin which we enjoy at different times throughout the year.
It is a pleasure to get to share our beautiful backyard with others.

What makes this property unique
I enjoy the solitude & sense of being away from it all, while knowing if I want or need, civilization is only about 45 minutes away.
The beauty of the area just envelopes you & makes it difficult to leave. The light changes throughout the day & from the early rays of the sunrise to the alpine glow preceding nightfall it provides constant delight.
Sitting on the deck and watching the wildlife that abounds in the area is always fun. Watching the deer as they change from full velvet to knotty racks always brings a smile.
