The property was clean and exactly as described. The host was very helpful and the area was great. There was a park close by to walk and there were stores and restaurants close by.
Amazing experience to be able to stay in a FLW house! We were in town for a music festival in King of Prussia. This was an added bonus of the trip! Convenient location to everything.
Very cool house, and what a treat to stay in a Frank Lloyd Wright! There’s a lot of nice outdoor space in the yard and on balconies, and the interior is beautiful and so interesting. The floors were quite visibly dusty in parts, I assume from a vacuuming job done too quickly—luckily an easy fix!
This house is an architectural treasure and it was kind of incredible to be able to stay in it. The beds were clean and comfortable with nice linens, which is super important. My two college aged sons stayed with me to attend the third sibling’s parent weekend. We each had our own sleeping space- my oldest and I each had a bed and my younger son slept on a pull out couch which he found comfortable. We found it made up with linens and a comforter waiting nearby- thoughtful touches that made it easy for us to fall into bed at night. One night my oldest son cooked a simple dinner for the four of us and two friends from my youngest child’s college whose parents weren’t around. He bought the ingredients at the local farmers market a 15-20 min walk away. The kitchen had what we needed and the dining space was lovely. We also enjoyed having coffee on one of the patios off of the bedrooms. Every morning I woke to birdsong and light filtering through the trees. It was quiet, peaceful and inspiring.
This isn't the usual vacation rental. If you have any interest in architecture getting to stay in an authentic Frank Lloyd Wright home is kinda like sleeping in a museum, one you could actually live in.The architecture makes for an interesting enviornment. There are details to be noticed. Its clear someone imagined the space. The floor to ceiling windows open up the house to the world. The horizontal lines and open floor plan create a sense of flow and harmony that modern homes try to emulate but rarely achieve. We spent some time discovering hidden built-ins, admiring the usability of layout, and marveling at how well the structure fits into its surroundings. The integration with the external enviornment is amazing, large windows and walkout terraces blur the line between indoors and out. Both bedrooms are cozy and comfortable, with that characteristic Wright attention to human scale. Yes, some doorways are lower than modern standards but this only adds to the authenticity and charm. The owners have maintained this treasure with obvious love and respect. Everything is how I imagine Frank left it. They are excellent hosts, the level of customer service we were provided was exceptional. I would love to stay here again!
