Description: Located in the beautiful development of Echota, this two-bedroom, two-bathroom main floor (entry level, no stairs) condo is perfect for your next vacation. The Grandfather Mountain View can be admired from the living room, primary bedroom and deck. This condo is fully furnished with everything you would need for a long retreat or a short weekend getaway. The kitchen is well equipped to prepare meals and the living room is inviting with a gas log fireplace and mountain view. Curl up, get cozy and read a book, watch TV or take a nap…. the choice is yours! Guests of this unit have access to the deck from the living room or primary bedroom where they can breathe in fresh mountain air while gazing at the mountains and listening to the sounds of nature. Enjoy a short mountain getaway to relax or an extended stay and explore all the High Country has to offer. 

Resorts' Amenities: Amenities in these gated resorts include indoor and outdoor (seasonal May 1 - Oct. 1) swimming pools with hot tubs, two private clubhouses, fitness rooms, stocked fishing ponds, a 23-acre riverfront park, community hiking trails and catch and release fishing.

Location: This Resort is centrally located to Boone, Banner Elk, Valle Crucis and Blowing Rock in the Foscoe area. The convenient location makes it just minutes away from all the High Country’s most famous attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tweetsie Railroad, Grandfather Mountain, Linville Falls and Caverns, and Appalachian State University.  If you are looking for winter sports there are several different options from Hawksnest Snow Tubing, Sugar Mountain Ski Resort, Beech Mountain Ski Resort, and Appalachian Ski Resort. Relax and enjoy the slow pace of the mountains and the fresh air or be adventurous and go hiking, fishing, biking, or sight-seeing. Some other things people enjoy are shopping, antiquing, skiing, golfing and miniature golfing, ziplining, go-karts, and gem mining.

Perfect spot for quick getaway ski trip

The condo was very hot when we arrived and it took probably three or four hours to cool down to 71. On top of that there was a really musty smell and I cannot stay in places where there is mold or mildew or the carpet being dirty. I was feeling fine when I got there and then that night I got a scratchy throat and stopped up feeling, so we left there that morning by 9:30 10 o'clock to just get out of the unit and did not return then tell it was time to go to bed. I did call the office to let them know about the issues she said she was going to have someone come up and check the air conditioner and the water in the pan we never did see him and no one called back about it. Then the next night we did not return to the unit until 10:45 so that I did not have to stay in there any longer than necessary! . We left again at 9:40 am and only returned to change clothes but by then my eyes were itching and my nose was running no one was in the office that evening to tell but I wasn't sure what they would do about it anyway so the next day we left early got all our stuff packed and got out of there with me having full-blown coughing itching eyes and nose runny nose and a bad cough.Unfortunately I will not stay in that unit again I'm not sure if they had animals in there or if there was a problem with the HVAC or exactly what was the problem but it was quite miserable.

We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially when you were not feeling well. After receiving your call, we changed the HVAC filter on Saturday morning and had both our maintenance team and HVAC company inspect the unit during an emergency after-hours visit. Thankfully, neither found any issues with the HVAC system. We have also had guests staying in the condo consistently throughout the season without receiving any similar complaints. However, we take your concerns about the musty odor seriously and will continue to look into the matter. We sincerely apologize that you did not receive the follow-up you were expecting and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. Guest comfort and satisfaction are very important to us.
