Relaxing Retreat
After a busy week of excursions, snorkeling, and scuba diving on St. John and the British Virgin Islands, our stay at Villa Nautilus on St. Thomas was a welcome relaxing retreat. The beautifully remodeled condo was very comfortable and the people we met at the complex were genuinely friendly. Highly recommended for a couple looking to "get away".

Best unit in the complex!
This is by far the best unit in the complex. Steve took very special attention to details when he did the complete renovation. The decorating is fabulous, the beds are comfortable and the towel supply seemed endless. I would absolutely stay in this unit again! The welcome from Paul was an added bonus. Great views great interior great vacation! Can't wait to come back!

WHAT A GEM!!!!
I think we may have found our new home in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands! Our family travels to the USVI at least once a year. We have stayed at the Ritz, we have stayed at Frenchman's Bay Marriot, and we have rented Estates in Peterborg with groups of friends. Villa Nautilus easily ranks right up there as one of our favorite experiences. First off, the Villa is beautifully appointed (think high end), there is direct access and views of the nicest beach in STT, Sapphire Bay. The room, kitchen and living area is large. This quiet enclave of condos is not pretentious and so wonderful. It really feels like a secret gem that only locals and people who have been visiting for years know about. You will fall in love with Norma, who does a great job maintaining the property (and sharing good advice). We traveled with our two children ages 8 and 6 and it was a perfect. Literally we rolled out of bed and onto the beach. Another bonus is how close it is to the St. John Ferry, Mo's Market (which is like Whole Foods), and a lot of other great restaurants. If you are looking for an authentic local vibe and great home base, this is it! I am sure we will return. Thank you Villa Nautilus and Paul for the hospitality.

About the host
Hosted by Steve Jakab
While I currently reside in NYC, I have lived on St Thomas for over a decade and am "home" on the island every chance I get.
Why they chose this property
Location, Location, LOCATION! Beachfront and within 1 mile to all the restaurants and nightlife of Redhook. Also 1 mile to the ferry terminal.
What makes this property unique
The views of the beach from the living room, and the convenience it offers for those late afternoon dips in the ocean after a fun day of activities is something hard to beat. The new beachfront bar and restaurant will hit the spot just a few feet up the beach from the front door. Water sports are also available for when one wants to go snorkeling, kayaking, or windsurf/kite boarding. Just minutes away from Redhook, this property is hard to beat.
