Adorable 1900's post office turned cottage located at the water's edge where the Sheepscot and the Dyer rivers meet. Enjoy the large screened in porch for comfortable outdoor living. The home features a large bedroom downstairs and an upstairs loft bedroom.

Kayaking, canoeing and swimming with close proximity to the reversing falls. Kayaks can be ordered and delivered by a local provider. Located just 6 miles from the waterfront community of Damariscotta and 3 miles to Wiscasset "the most beautiful town in Maine".

The home is quaint and comfortable. The water views were nice to have during the day while working. The bed and linens were comfortable. The rooms were larger than expected. I enjoyed my stay.

Comfortable river farmhouse.

Home was attractively decorated and pleasant. . Bedding and furniture were comfortable. Location was ok, very close to the road and river grasses. It was a convenient midcoast location on a very pretty road. The rent was appropriate for the property.

The village lies astride a narrow point in the upper tidal section of the Sheepscot River between the towns of Newcastle and Alna. This picturesque village feels far removed yet is only a few miles from all the essentials; restaurants, coffee shops, grocery stores, fish markets and boutiques.

What makes this property unique

Enchanting views, easy access to the water from the yard and a wonderful screened porch for outdoor living. A great location in a small historic village with close proximity to the towns of Damariscotta and Wiscasset.
