Wonderful accommodations and beautiful property with 6 pools, three hot tubs!

We had a wonderful time. The apartment was perfect and the resort is beautiful. My kids loved all the pools, water slide, mini golf, beach and volleyball.

Perfect vacation spot, especially for kids

The apartment was spacious and well supplied, and the location was perfect--on a beautiful resort with pools and other activities (the kids loved the mini golf!), close to the rainforest, and close to San Juan. The host was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!

Great accommodations within a beautiful property

beautiful property, with private beach access, and a small water park. Tennis, and miniature golf also available. The entire family was very happy. Villa is beautiful, clean, and extremely spacious. I would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful and quiet property

This is a very nice place. The small beach is about a 10 minute walk through a nicely landscaped property. There are many pools, about waist deep. The apartment is nice. The outdoor space is the perfect place to have a morning coffee! The a/c works well and the kitchen served our needs. It was a bit tricky to get the water temperature right for an entire shower. Nice to have washer/ dryer available. The beds were comfortable. The owner was very responsive.

Beautiful resort, this unit needs a bit of upkeep but was roomy & affordable

Overall, the prnthouse was a great place for our family to stay. Each adult child had their own bedroom and there was plenty of space to hang out together - include the open rooftop patio! The complex has several pools, a hot tub and the private beach is fantastic. The unit itself could use some work. The oven did not work, both shower fixtures were hard to adjust to a comfortable temperature & the air conditioning units leaked on the floor. It also would have been helpful to have coffee & laundry detergent provided (as most rentals do). But there is a grocery store about 15 minutes away and that was convenient. You definitely need a car to stay here though. There is not any attraction within walking distance and the airport is 30-40 minutes away. Owner was very responsive to questions. We had a very nice time!

Family Vacation

The apartment was very nice (exactly like the pictures), very comfortable and clean. The Rooftop was enjoyable, the beds were comfortable and the apartment was equipped with pretty much everything you would need. The mini split systems in the apartment work awesome, easy to keep the temperature very comfortable throughout the apartment. We didn't bother to cook but we looked around and found that they had enough to get by on, if we chose too. The pool table was more of a kids table and old but very usable. The TV has a firestick, you just have to log into your own accounts. Our only real complaint about the apartment itself is that the washing machine smelled musty and the water pressure in the on suite was very weak (nothing that would impact our incredible vacation). The property was nicely kept (Impressive enough) and the private beach on the property is beautiful, the sand is very smooth, the beach is kept very clean, and the water is gorgeous, However, it would have been nice to have loungers to lay on at the beach. The pool is very nice, but not much of a water park, it is designed like a lazy river (without the current), long thin and curvy. The big pool with the slide is currently being remodeled. The location was good for us because it was centered to everything we wanted to do. It takes about half an hour to get to the San Juan area, about 20 minutes to get to Luquillo beach and the rain forest entrance and about 50 minutes to get to the ferry docks to get to the islands. The traffic is usually very heavy from mid morning to mid evening and traffic jams are pretty much inevitable, so always account for them when planning your travels. We had a fantastic vacation, we highly recommend this place especially if traveling with small kids.

Be aware

Where to start...check-in was easy. Apartment was clean but pictures were deceiving with events to follow. My first annoyance was discovering only one working shower. The water pressure in the entire unit was terrible. How difficult is it to regularly clean the faucets due to hard water. The shower in the master bedroom was useless. No cold water, only low pressure hot water. The experience wasn't pleasant, with my 5 teenagers having to share 1 shower. That was the least of our troubles, with a tropical storm heading our way. We stocked up on food and waited. Storm caused power outages, and it only got worse. No AC, no water and no communication. The host did respond with questions but was of no help. How does an resort this large not have a back up generator for essential services. I could keep writing but this is how our "vacation" was. Temperatures in the 90s. No AC, windows in the living room taped up. No ventilation. Water stopped, had to go to the pool to get water for the toilets. Ended up throwing away $500 in groceries due to no fridge, cooler or ice. I kept buying ice, but it was too hot to make any difference. I don't understand how there aren't contingencies in place to assist guests in an area that regularly experiences inclement weather. We found out from locals that power outages is a regular occurrence in the area. There is no excuse for not having assistance for guest in the resort. My advice, avoid aquatika

Spacious & practical unit located in a large community, away from touristy areas. Pricey.

5 stars for the unit itself, 3.5 stars for the location, overall 4 stars combined. A bit pricey. First, about the location+neighborhood: + The community is beautifully landscaped, pools are reasonably maintained, kids play areas were great. + Useful convenience store right outside the community, and lots of bigger grocery stores just 10 min drive away. - Not really a "water park" as advertised, just a bunch of pools, but that was evident from looking at the pictures so I didn't go with sky-high expectations. - It was quite the walk to the beach from my unit, and the beach was a really small, simple one - didn't stand out much - we only went there once. Other, more beautiful beaches around the island are definitely worth your time & energy. - Not a great location for food/dining, except a bunch of roadside eateries. This works when you want to experience authentic local food, but not as your only option 3 times a day for the length of your stay. We ended up having to drive a lot just for food. - Tour operators do not pickup from Loiza, so a car rental is an absolute must if you stay here. + Lots of opportunity to mix with locals, away from the bustle of the main touristy areas. About the unit: + very spacious and bright unit, picturesque living area that was thoughtfully furnished; kids loved the bunk beds, adults loved the large laundry area and large kitchen. + provided in the unit were beach chairs, beach balls, a large bag to use for day trips, stand to drip dry clothes + AC units worked well, hot water in the shower was lukewarm but sufficient, ice available in the refrigerator for drinks. - no shampoo/conditioners provided in the baths + sufficient towels for both indoor and outdoor (beach) use ~ upstairs play area & private terrace was useful but the provided pool table was super old/rickety and just got in the way more than anything. ~ 2 TV's in the unit but no support for cast or anything modern; we ended up not using this much + kitchen stocked with useful cookware and serveware; including an ice cream scoop which the kids appreciated. About the experience: + check-in/check-out was seamless + responsive point-of-contact available to chat/talk as needed - additional mandatory fee of $10 per person for a wristband is TOO expensive; very unrealistic to expect your guests to wear the wristband at all times for multiple days. We chose not to wear them, and voila - nothing happened. Total waste of money.

Centrally located comfortable condo

The spacious condo is comfortable with a great swimming pool. The beach is a short walk away making it easy to stop by for a quick swim. The town Loiza was convenient to other towns and adventures. Most things were about 35 minutes away.

Great family vacation spot!

Our family of 4 - me (mom), dad, 17 y.o. son, & 16 y.o. daughter - travelled to PR for a family vacation & had a wonderful time. The check in process was easy. Ivonne responded with the code immediately when we texted to let her know we had arrived at the apt. The complex is beautiful, clean, and very safe. Guards @ the entrance were kind and helpful. The apartment was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Linens were soft. A/C in each room works VERY well. Water pressure is a bit low. Kitchen has basic items (plates, glasses, silverware, and a few pots and pans). We noticed that there were no baking sheets/pans or hot pads to put things in or out of the oven - which made things a bit challenging because we had purchased a frozen pizza with our groceries on our way from the airport with the plan to have that for dinner while we unpacked & settled in, but we had to get creative to figure out a way to put it in and safely get it out of the oven. No big deal, just something to be aware of. Also, there is a coffee maker, but no coffee filters - so if you want coffee just be sure to pick up filters at the grocery store. The pools are fantastic & the beach is beautiful. The complex was quiet at night. There really wasn't anything to do within walking distance of the complex, but it is nicely located so we were easily able to drive west into San Juan or drive east & do snorkeling/boating/kayaking. Ivonne was super great at responding to questions or texts. One of the shower curtain rods fell down (loose wall anchors). I texted her & she had a repairman there within an hour to fix it. Amazing! Our daughter has cerebral palsy & has balance issues so I always like to include comments about accessibility in the event that another guest has questions. The unit is on the 3rd floor. Access is only stairs but they are well marked and with good handrails. She felt very safe going up & down. There is a spiral staircase w/ great handrail & she was easily able to navigate. Upstairs is a 1/2 bath, pool table, TV, and access to the rooftop patio. On the main level are the 3 bedrooms and 2 full baths plus kitchen and living area with dining table. The 2 full baths are fairly identical each with a sink, toilet, and tub/shower. The tub/shower does require you to step over the side of the tub and the bottom was a bit slippery. The W/D in the unit were wonderful!! Also a sm basket of beach & pool toys, mini golf clubs and a single tennis racket.

Amazing place

It was a great place to stay awesome pools. it had great security which made me and my family feel safe. There was a little misunderstanding about wrists bands but I think it was due to last minute booking. It was a fun vacation.

Family Vacation

Despite some minor issues that were easily resolved, this penthouse was awesome. The location was great and Ivonne was easy to communicate with. The check in process was seamless and I would definitely revisit this location again in the future.

Loiza beach condo

We stayed at this property for a total of 6 nights. The condo is ok and pools are great! The mini golf was not in working order while we were there. The beach is not the clear beach you would expect. It has seaweed and is a sandy. We decided to take day trips to Luquillo beach which is about 20 mins and if you go right out the propert on 187 there are beautiful beaches about 15-20 mins that way. The AC in the main bedroom was not woroking very well but other than that the condo is nice. On the main road 3 about 15 mins Alia is Ralph’s a grocery store and fast food chains so if you are traveling with kids it’s not too far. We went to old San Juan 2x for dinner it’s about 45 mins . Puerto Rico is a beautiful island with a lot to offer!

Great place to stay!

This rental property has everything you would need! It’s a great place with a pool table, games and putters for putt putt. All of the pools are great. The beach is very quiet. We were amazed how few people were at the beach each day. It’s a great beach. Would definitely stay here again. Only downfall is no restaurants nearby and Aquatika is missing out by not putting in a restaurant onsite. That would be perfect! But the process and check in were very easy and had no problems. We loved our stay there!

Overall it was a great experience, most definitely will stay in a future . The only downside of all the stay was that the pool area was not clean very often, but this is something that HomeAway or the owner of the apartment have no power of managed.

Excellent!!!!!

This is the fourth apt that I have stayed and it was the best one. Everyone in my family enjoyed. I would recommend everyone to stay there. It has a pool table and a tv, two more tvs in other rooms, some things to enjoy the pool, the mini golf, and the tennis and basketball court. The apt.is clean and in good conditions. I love to stay at Aquatika!!!

We really enjoyed the property. Very secure, clean and comfortable. Easy to get the property paid for through evolve and then easy to access the keys to the place. It really did feel like home. We hope to be able to come back again this year! So much for the kids to do as far as water park, beach and playground. A little out of the way to the closest stores for groceries and other necessary home goods, but if you have a rental car it's not too bad as there are lots of good pics to be taken. We recommend Luquillo Beach, the Biobay tour and old San Juan if you come. Thanks for making our stay memorable!
