Black Bear Retreat-Hot Tub, Pet Friendly, Game Room

The Black Bear Retreat is the perfect getaway to relax and unwind. Enjoy a cup of coffee on the covered back deck looking out into the tranquil forest. You will make memories around the camp fire, relaxing in the hot tub, reading a good book in the hammocks swings or playing games with the family. Many laughs will be had with the variety of board games, the karaoke machine and playing a round of poker. The kiddos will love the kid camp in the loft and the arcade machines in the game room.

From the moment you walk into this cozy well equipped cabin, you will feel right at home with the open concept livingroom, kitchen and dining room.

The mainfloor also offers a cozy guest room with a queen bed, a seperate full guest bath and a master suite with a kingbed, a private bath and walk in closet. Both bedrooms have Roku TVs. There is a washer and dryer in the hall closet (detergent provided).

Upstairs in the open loft area, the kiddos will find hours of entertainment in the "Black Bear Cub Camp" They can build a "fire", roast "marshmallows," have a picnic with the forest themes stuffed animals friends, fish, and read the Michigan themed kids books. There are also two queen beds and a cozy sitting area.

The walkout basement is full of entertainment! There is wall Tic Tac Toe, Connect Four, oversized Jenga, ring toss and Karaoke! The family room has a large poker table arcade machine and electronic pinball. Enjoy a movie in comfortable reclining seating on the 65in Roku TV. There is another master suite complete with a king sized bed, private bath and walk in closet. This bedroom has a designated work desk.

Relax and enjoy the outdoors on either covered deck/patio! The upstairs patio has comfortable cushioned seating with a couch and four rocking chairs. The downstairs patio has two glider-rockers and is the designated smoking area.

If you love spending time outdoors, you will have a blast playing corn hole, ladderball and bocce ball! If relaxing is more your style, enjoy a book in the hammock swings under the hot tub pavilion or soak in the new eight-person hot tub.

Make memories around outdoor the fire pit with our comfy adirondack chairs. We do provide firewood and roasting sticks!

This was a great place, fun and cozy with all the right accent lights, fun things for my 2 year old daughter to play with , our grown up kids loved the hot tub and we had fires and loved sitting on the porch after dinner. A fun relaxing weekend! It’s a must go to!

Three friends from high school who are now in our late 50’s stayed here during fall fishing season. The place was clean and comfortable. The listing was accurate, so we got exactly what we expected (we wanted three bathrooms). We even used the game room at night. Host was very responsive. We will try and stay here again.

Perfect location to tuck away

This place is the perfect location to tuck away for a weekend of trail riding or just exploring the Baldwin area. Conveniently located to so many trails and the home’s accommodations are perfect for relaxing after a day of riding.

Our family had a wonderful time. The host was very accomodating and helpful. We had 3 adults and 6 kids. Plenty for all the kids to do here. The kitchen was great. We had everything we needed. Even a slow cooker which we used. The property looked like winter wonderland. So beautiful. We took advantage of having of the fire pit while watching the snow slowly come down. We enjoyed the very nice hot tub as well. Our family would definetly reccomend this place to all other families looking to experience MI in winter.

Awesome place! Stayed for a guys weekend where we really utilized the amenities. Had fun playing yard games, talking around the bonfire and spent a bunch of time in the hot tub. Not to mention enjoying the arcade games and cards on the poker table. This place is well stocked with plenty of towels for use at the hot tub and many other miscellaneous things you might forget on a trip. Is in a quiet but convenient location close to the Pere Marquette River where we enjoyed fly fishing for Salmon and Trout. We look forward to staying again in the future!

We’ve been doing VRBO for the last few years and the black bear retreat is top notch! 10/10. It has everything you need plus some from gaming l, WiFi, hot tub outstanding fire pit. That cabin feel was a home run we plan to keep staying here between fishing hunting and kayaking

We absolutely loved the house! So relaxing! So many nice amenities! Enjoyed the hot tub several times! Loved the digital pinball! Loved the mini arcade as well (especially Circus Charlie)!! Our little doggie had a blast! The kids love the loft and they wiped me out in blackjack at the poker table!! We made so many great memories!

We came up for a family 4-wheeler trip and we were not disappointed! The cabin was clean and fully stocked with every amenity you would need. The outside area was perfect for late night fires and hot tub. Very quiet area close to the tin cup ORV trails. About a 20 minute drive to Little O trail head. We will be back!

Excellent and Cozy Cabin in the Woods

This cabin is excellent and perfect for families large or small. It was very clean, well stocked, and thoughtfully designed. All beds were very comfortable and the furniture high end. Everything about our stay was easy and comfortable. The outdoor space was so much fun, everything you need to entertain all ages. Our dog loved the property! The hosts even provide fire wood for the wonderful fire ring. The hot tub was super nice, clean, easy to use, and so enjoyable after a long day hiking. Would give this rental 6 stars if I could. So many small details were thought out and provided. My family will most definitely be back! The host was wonderful! Very communicative

2024 Family, Freinds gathering

Several family members and friends gather this time every year not only to hunt but to catch up with our lives. This home was a wonderful place for our gathering! It was clean, updated and spacious. The bedrooms were large clean and comfortable. The hot tub was large and It was awesome to have towels and sandals provided. The game room was also amazing as it brought a lot of fun and laughter during our stay. It was also great having two large areas to gather and watch the Lions play football. Because of the weather we really didnt get a chance to use the fire pit but there was enough chairs and plenty of wood provided. Big upper and lower porches with plenty of seats with a very nice grill! The kitchen was well equipped with most anything you needed to prepare your meals with and had a large table to eat at. I was very impressed with this home as well as the other people in our group who asked for the contact info. We will most definitely stay here again.
