This rental was amazing. The attention to detail and the warm environment, along with the hummingbirds feeding outside the window, created a relaxing environment. The host is an absolute joy to work with! The apartment feels like a cozy and quaint little home. It's clean, decorated beautifully, and has everything needed to enjoy your stay. We were there in July and enjoyed watching the hummingbirds buzzing all around! We saw dear and many unique birds. I would highly recommend this stay!

We absolutely loved this property in Oak Hill, West Virginia. It was very clean and so tastefully decorated! Watching the hummingbirds at the 2 feeders was so enjoyable! We had such a great weekend away celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary, because of our wonderful accommodations and the hosts!! Many thanks to them! Beautiful, convenient and quiet location for exploring the area; a welcoming place after hiking. Well appointed and very clean space stocked with necessities as well as thoughtful touches like a bouquet of freshly cut rhodendron blossoms. Enjoyed watching hummingbirds feed outside the windows. One of our favorite VRBO stays with a host who communicates as needed.

We had a wonderfully relaxing stay, even though it was just for one night as a pit stop on our way to West Virginia. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the host was thoughtful and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. The peaceful surroundings made it a truly serene experience. Best Ever!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this place! It’s hard to imagine a nicer location. The furnishings and appointments are beautifully done, and everything is in perfect condition and spotless. There are so many thoughtful touches throughout the space—they’ve thought of everything! It’s a truly quiet and relaxing place. I highly recommend it. Stay here!

It's a beautiful property, and a beautiful home. Very well appointed in a nice out of the way neighborhood. We had easy access to the New River Gorge Bridge and the associated hikes as well as the national park office and information. The property owner, Rosemarie, was very helpful, kept in contact as needed and provided lots of suggestions and things to do and see. We are looking forward to going back to the area to see more sites and would definitely reserve this property if available. Thank you, Rosemarie.

Excellent property

We loved this property and this area near the New River. So much to see, so many trails to hike, so many beautiful wildflowers. The owners have done an awesome renovation of this apartment. They have included many works done by different artisans from West Virginia. It was great to see these works of art. We can't say enough how happy we are with our choice of this property. You will not be disappointed. We highly recommend this property and these owners. The property and the owners are awesome.

We found this apartment at the last minute of our New River Gorge National Park trip planning. It turned out a hidden gem to us. The apartment is in a lovely, quiet neighborhood of Oak Hill, a perfect home base to visit New River Gorge and other state parks in the area. The apartment itself is cozy, charming, well lighted and spotless clean. We feel so comfortable and relaxed as at home. all appliances are well kept and properly functioned. Towels and bed sheets are soft, nice and available at guest's needs. The host, Rosemarie, is very well communicated, attentive and helpful all through our five-day stay. It was a wonderful stay for us at the Ridge of Sanger and hopefully we have another chance to visit the area again.Thanks so much.

New and light-filled unit adjoined to owner's house, in pretty surroundings. However, the owner was a bit rude and unpleasant to communicate with. She gave an annoyed response when I asked for the code of the house when we arrived, which was not in the emails I received from Expedia/Vrbo, or on my profile. "It's in the details!" she scolded. After arriving cold and damp from our outdoor adventures, all we wanted was a warm shower. We let the shower run for 5 minutes and still it was cold. I texted her and was met with another snippy response. Fortunately my husband finally found a small sign in the kitchen saying it takes time for the warm water to come on. It did after about 10 minutes. These interactions were very disappointing and put a damper on what was otherwise a nice rental. We've stayed in a hundred rentals but have never encountered a bad attitude like this from the owner. Usually owners go out of their way to be friendly and accommodating to their guests. For this reason, would not stay here again - would rather stay at a more welcoming rental with a patient host.
