Wanderlust Cabin Just minutes from Hanging Rock


Adventure awaits…….unplug and unwind at this peaceful cabin. Within minutes of Hanging Rock and Pilot Mountain State Parks which offer hiking, climbing, swimming, kayaking and more. You can also experience zip lining or tubing on the Dan River.
The cabin offers a wonderful space indoors or outdoors to cook, dine, play games or just connect with one another.
The space
The Wanderlust Cabin is a cozy 700 square foot cabin nestled on a beautifully wooded lot. It has a living area with comfortable furniture, an electric fireplace, a TV with DVD player and DVD’s.
A full kitchen with a range and refrigerator., Cookware, and Dinnerware for 6.
A Dining area that comfortably seats 6 for dining or playing cards or board games
Two bedrooms- Bedroom 2 has a full size bed
Bedroom 1 has a queen size bed.
Full bath with a walk-in shower, no tub.

There is a covered front porch, a back deck, and a fire pit area where we also have a covered picnic table and park charcoal grill.

The cabin is very comfortable on the inside and outside there is plenty of space to enjoy nature.
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire cabin and yard, fire pit area and outdoor dining area.
Other things to note
Only minutes from Hanging Rock State Park, Dan River and other local attractions. It is in close proximity to Pilot Mountain and Mt. Airy.

This was an awesome little cabin! Was perfect for a weekend getaway to the mountains for my wife’s birthday. All the amenities were great and made our stay so enjoyable and relaxing, cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking to disconnect for a bit

A fantastic place to get away from it all. The cabin is a study on how to recycle and repurpose. The theme is rustic “beautiful.” Cannot say enough about the cabin and our hosts. Lovely!

Great communication with the host. The cabin and surrounding area was beautiful and relaxing. We enjoyed playing disc golf nearby and spending a day just hanging out in the cabin. Wonderful stay and would absolutely come back!

This is a great place to stay for exploring Hanging Rock State Park. Tucked away and a peaceful setting for slowing down and enjoying the outdoors. Awesome black night sky for star gazing.

The bedrooms were much smaller than expected. Very little room for clothes. Tiny shower stall. Internet was spotty but apparently that is not the norm. Statewide burn ban kept us from using the fire pit.

Our cabin is small, around 700 square feet, so the bedrooms are small. We feel like the space is very functional considering the total square footage of the cabin. We understood from other communication that you enjoyed your stay, so we are very glad of that. We also appreciate you keeping our surrounding forest, and neighbors safe by adhering to the mandated burn ban.

The cabin was quite cozy. The air-conditioning worked well, and it had plenty of hot water in the shower. The beds were very comfortable, and the libing room had a nice layout.

Relaxing getaway. Unique and fun cabin!

This property was unique and comfortable. We enjoyed the repurposing of materials throughout the cabin. The surroundings were beautiful and natural! We enjoyed listening to and identifying birds on the property.

Great cabin, cozy and very clean.

Great cabin to spend the weekend, completely private, cozy and made us feel right at home. A proper outdoor bonfire and barbecue, covered dining. The property owner was incredibly accommodating and made sure everything was good,.

Should clean the fire pit more regularly. A fire pit stops being a fire pit when the ashes from previous fires sit above the rocks that only increases the chance of your embers blowing into the woods or the house and creating more fires!! I did not have a fire!! Also, leave the fan off!! Old people like myself hate air blowing on them!!! I personally have never seen a remote control fan!! It was unbelievably aggravating not being able to turn it off until I contacted you!! It is a win win leaving it off, if people want a fan on they will figure it out!! Besides, a remote does not not work all the time!!!! Not being able to turn off that was really upsetting to me to me as I stated before!!! It literally ruined my first 3 hrs! This is just an FYI: I did find 5 pieces of broken glass along the path of rocks right behind the back porch!! Also, could not open the back porch door!! It sounds like a lot but I really did like the rustic feel and staying there!!! I am just letting you know so as you can address these minor issues!!

Wonderful Getaway

Exactly as described and wonderfully furnished. This stay was the exact type of escape we needed! Watching DVD’s with the kids and making smores at the campfire made memories we will remember. Thank you!
