Welcome to Starlight Ridge Farm!

Looking for a relaxing getaway? This is the place. This charming1902 farmhouse was the Vaden family homeplace for 4 generations. It has been lovingly restored and updated with a brand-new kitchen, bathrooms, and modern conveniences while maintaining its historic charm. The house is 7 minutes from the main entrance to Hanging Rock State Park, 6 minutes from Moore's Springs Manor, and affords a stunning mountain view off the front porch.

Sip coffee from the porch rockers and watch the sunrise over the mountain. Take advantage of our 58 private acres, perfect for long walks and exploring. Spend the day exploring the creeks on the property, tubing the Dan River, or visiting the local state parks. In the evening, enjoy a good book, game, or puzzle by the gas log fireplace, or watch the deer and other wildlife in the fields around the house. End your days by the fire pit, with incredible star gazing and a view of the Milky Way.

There is so much to do minutes from our doorstep - great hiking with panoramic views, waterfalls, mountain bike trails, ziplining, local farm stands, and wineries - something for everyone.

The updated 2000 sq. ft. farmhouse has 3 bedrooms, 3 baths, and accommodates 6-7 people (please note rental rate is based on the number of guests). Master bedroom upstairs with queen bed and private bath; 2 other upstairs bedrooms with 1 queen, 1 full and 1 twin. Fully equipped, modern kitchen. Linens, towels, and paper products furnished. Streaming TV in living room and one bedroom. Dedicated office workspace upstairs. Excellent WiFi. Good cell service.

Private and secluded, this a great place to get away from it all.

35 minutes from Winston-Salem, 1 hour from Greensboro, 2 hours from Raleigh & Charlotte.

We loved our stay at this lovely farm house. The host, Bryan, was welcoming and helpful. I loved that they sent us a detailed document with some history of the home and local places to check out for dining and entertainment. The location is perfect if you're visiting Hanging Rock State Park, because you are just a couple of miles away from the park and have a great view from the home.

A Wonderful Peaceful Experience

We had a wonderful time. The house had everything we needed (and no scratched-up Teflon pans). The renovations to the old house were really nice- just like on HGTV. The old horse barn and old family cemetery were very interesting. We were close to hiking trails, waterfalls, an art museum, and a couple of really good ice cream shops and restaurants. We want to come back next year.

This is a very comfortable property. The views are spectacular, both daytime and nighttime. All the open space is so nice and not having to worry about traffic sounds and loud neighbors is an uncommon luxury, especially at such an affordable rate. The host is awesome and helpful and the communication, is great! We would stay there again if we visited the area again.
