Beautiful, well-kept cottage with a well-equipped and stocked kitchen. Tastefully decorated with comfortable furnishings. Loved the recliner! Lovely location facing the water. Just a very sweet retreat. Also the friendly host was available by phone for any questions.
The ocean view was just what we were looking for. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for our two week stay. It's a little ways out of town but the serenity and beauty made up for that. We would definitely recommend it and we'll be back for sure!
The property had a lovely view of the Sooke basin from the brand new deck which was constantly visited by hummingbirds. The large, beautiful yard was perfect for our dog. Lots of privacy. The cottage was very clean and had everything we needed. The host was very responsive and helpful.
We enjoyed our stay at Ann's cottage. Cheryl was an amazing hostess. She checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. We were greeted, upon entry, to home made scones and jam!! What a treat. We would stay there again upon a visit to Vancouver Island.
This is truly a home away from home. Everything you need is already in the house, except your food of course. There is a small corner store 5 min away but Sooke is about a 30 min drive. If quiet and isolation is important, this is the perfect place. The cabin was perfect for us, old fashioned and a very comfy. We felt welcome upon arrival with home made scones, flowers, and dog treats! Cheryl made every attempt of making sure we had all of our questions answered throughout our 2 week stay. Ann’s cottage was perfect for us.
Interesting spot if a little removed from sooke itself. Great for exploration purposes. Very fun to hear seals barking as we went to sleep in the very comfy beds (with good linens)!

At Ann's cottage we want every guest to feel welcomed. We value your privacy whilst at the cottage as it is YOUR home while you are there yet we are available by phone or text 24/7 (or through the Good Neighbor gate if urgent as we are right next door). We are so happy and grateful to host you.
Enjoyed our stay. Not as central as we liked but would consider again.

Thank you for your review and for reminding future guests that we are rural. As you look across Sooke Harbour from the deck you can see the quaint township of Sooke where you will find grocery stores, restaurants, gas stations, pharmacy, clinics, liquor stores, artists and much more but it takes you 20 minutes to drive there however we have our much loved East Sooke Grocers 10 minutes away and they have just about anything you need in a pinch plus lovely locals to serve you! There are also food trucks and a huge Sasquatch standing guard!
Ann’s Cottage was very comfortable ( 3 Adults large dog) and well supplied, from the kitchen, to the many books, puzzles and games. It was also spotless upon our arrival. The highlights were the beautiful new deck, which has water views and a private beach, the peaceful vibe and the special touches-fresh flowers, homemade scones and jam upon arrival. Not to mention a bowl of dog biscuits. The location is perfect for exploring East Sooke Park. It is only a 20 minute drive to Sooke, the gateway to many coastal beaches on your way up to Port Renfrew. Cheryl is a wonderful host and our dog Bo had a puppy date with her dog Lewy. It felt like a home away from home. We will be back!. Bev,Rai,Susie and Bo
Wonderful older house that is well maintained and has everything a family could need. The grounds were nice, enjoyed the picnic table. The beach is small with pebbles, but some of our family went swimming. Overall a grear place to stay
Host was very friendly and communicative. The cottage itself is beautiful and cozy.

I'm so glad you enjoyed the cottage. It was lovely having you as neighbours and really appreciated your help with the recycle etc.
It's guests like you that make Ann's cottage successful. You are welcome back:)
Ann’s cottage is an amazing place to stay, the view from the deck is beautiful and the cottage is comfortable and charming. I stayed for a long weekend and I wish I could have stayed for a week! Cheryl was a great host and made sure my check in process went smoothly and that myself and my dog felt welcomed. I would absolutely stay here again.

About the host
Hosted by Cheryl
Hi! My name is Cheryl and I manage the cottage for my friend Ann....hence the name 'Ann's Seaside Cottage'. I live next door with my husband Doug and our Standard Poodle Lewy who is very friendly yet looks like white lightning when racing to the gate to say 'Hi'. My goal (that I gratefully work toward) is to ensure that guests feel welcome the moment they walk through the door...fresh flowers, Scones or Cookies await and I will happily put my concierge hat if asked. We respect your privacy however quickly available if needed. Best job on the Planet😊
Why they chose this property
'Nature's Gallery' East Sooke's Logo says it all. Abundant nature and wildlife, fresh air, hiking and walking trails and so much more YET a short drive to Victoria 😔.
What makes this property unique
Ann's Seaside Cottage is situated on a no thru street on Sooke Harbour with easy steps to a small pebble beach, with a beautiful handcrafted picnic bench under the apple trees close to the sea...it doesn't get better than that....we even had a beautiful wedding underneath the apple trees!
The cottage is funky, clean, a well stocked kitchen, comfy furniture, wifi, electric fireplace, books, games, binoculars...a very cozy place to call home for a few days or a few weeks.
