Great place to stay when hiking all day and everyday in Yellowstone. Sean was easily available for any questions. He labeled things great for those who need a little guidance. Even have freezer packs ready for excursions in the freezer! Bring your soft collapsible coolers and know you have a vrbo to go back and make dinner & shower & sleep.

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness, check-in, listing accuracy
Received check-in details less than 24 hours before our scheduled arrival — far too last-minute for a vacation rental. At that time, the property owner informed us for the first time that he would be staying on-site, in a camper located about 50 feet from the front door. This was never disclosed in the listing. Had we known ahead of time, we would not have booked this property — especially while traveling with two young children and a dog. When we arrived, the house was locked, even though the owner told us it would be open. We contacted him (he responded quickly), and he said the previous renters must have locked it. This was concerning — it implied the house hadn’t been checked or cleaned between guests.Once we got inside, our concerns were confirmed. The home didn’t appear clean or prepared. The fridge was still full of food (including owners insulin), and it felt like someone had just walked out hours before. It gave the impression that it was someone’s personal home rather than a properly managed rental. With the owner’s camper so close to the house, it didn’t feel private or secure — definitely not what we expected or needed for a family stay.If it had just been me and a friend, maybe we would have brushed it off. But with kids, it was a dealbreaker. We chose to leave and find other accommodations — more than 20 hours from home, with limited options, this was a stressful and expensive last-minute change.
