Winter on Gould Pond

Magnificent! Quiet, wooded setting on Gould Pond. Cozy house with cabin feel. Our stay was in winter with a fresh coating of snow on the frozen pond. DEFINITELY recommend!

We had a wonderful time at this house, and the location right on the lake can't be beat! We so enjoyed the paddleboard and kayaks and my younger daughter even tried out the fishing rod! The screened in porch with the lake view is another highlight, and the upstairs master suite is lovely. The exterior steps are also nicely done (not too steep) and well lit. My review is 4 stars instead of 5 because the house is a little "no frills" compared to other VRBOs we've stayed in - not a ton of decor, thin towels, remotes were missing batteries, etc. Also, note that the mattress on the top bunk is quite thick, which results in the safety rail being pretty short - we were concerned that whoever slept there might roll out, so my younger daugther opted to sleep on one of the couches. But again, we had a really good time, and the host was great at communication!
