Beautiful Creekside Country Home with EV Charger

Edelweiss is a lovely 2 acre country home on the banks of beautiful Smith Creek, just 3 miles from downtown Wimberley. This spacious home is great for families or friends with an open layout and custom kitchen. The home boasts 2.5 baths, 3 bedrooms (king, queen, and two bunk beds), plus a large game room with a pool table and 2 additional twin beds. The large fenced yard is great for kids and pets with horseshoe pits, a badminton net, fire pit, hammock, picnic table, expansive deck and charcoal grill. The home backs up to Smith Creek with a scenic view of the creek just below the backyard and lovely stone steps down to the water. We think you'll love this house!



The name Edelweiss belongs to a delicate white flower made famous in The Sound of Music. From the morning songs of the chirping birds to the evening orchestra of the frogs and toads along the creek, the Hill Country is definitely alive with the sound of music! Enjoy the creek behind the backyard, watch the deer as you sip your morning coffee, strum your guitar beside the fire, challenge your friends to a game of pool, have a family BBQ on the gorgeous back deck, snuggle up by the fireplace, or lounge in the hammock. There's something here for everyone!



We are environmentally conscious and offer a level 2 EV charger, recycling, compost, eco-friendly soaps and cleaning products, recycled paper products, and a reverse-osmosis filtration system for drinking water.

Pet Fee:
Our pet fee is $50 each for friendly, leashed pets. Please declare pets at time of booking (max 2 pets without prior approval).
VRBO NOTE: Vrbo only charges one pet fee, so a 2nd pet fee will be added after booking, if applicable. 



Creek note:
Smith Creek is a spring-fed year 'round creek, however creek levels and flow can be affected by periods of drought. When full, the creek is great for swimming directly behind the house and is about 5'-6' deep. We cannot control nature, though, and cannot guarantee that the creek will be swimmable during your stay. It's an amazingly gorgeous spot no matter what the water level may be!

This was the second visit to this home and once again it did not disappoint. The home is spacious, clean and well equipped with anything you may need. There are laminated instructions around the home about everything (TVs, trash, composting, details about local dining, entertainment, etc.). The hosts have thought about everything. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Great home for families

Perfect destination for families to reconnect and relax. Spacious accommodations with everything you need. Beautiful secluded location with easy access to a creek from the backyard yet only minutes from all the attractions of Wimberley. Would definitely stay here again.

House was nice. Everyone enjoyed the pool table. Couldn't spend much time outdoors, it was just to hot. The backyard accommodated the dogs well, liked that it was fenced in. Short drive to town, enjoyed Wimberly.

Girls Weekend

Wonderful stay in Wimberly. Easy check in & quick responses from host when we arrived in town. Was close to town. Home was very clean & had everything we needed. Backyard was perfect for early morning coffee & evening wine for our girls trip. Would recommend to all & hope to stay here again.

We had 3 generations gathering. Loved the kitchen and the screened porch ewe had space to be together and space to be in smaller groups. The backyard and hammock were a hit with my gggrgranddaughters

Perfect for the Price!

We enjoyed our stay for an annual weekend getaway with girlfriends. The location was convenient for going to Wimberley, Driftwood and San Marcos. The outdoor areas were spacious both grassy area and deck. The hammock was a favorite spot to relax in the afternoon. The kitchen had everything we needed and the indoor living and dining areas had plenty of room to accommodate our group. This was a good place for our group and would be fantastic for families as well.

Relaxing family fun

This house has it all! Plenty of room for everyone, games, pool table inside and outside volleyball and badminton! A grill and picnic table on a patio with twinkle lights. You can walk down to the creek from the backyard and sit on the bench to relax. Beautiful!

Me and my sisters loved our stay at Edelweiss. The property grounds are beautifully maintained and flourishing with bird activity. Cardinals seem to love this property as much as we do. We saw many during our stay. Natural sunlight envelopes you through the many windows on the back of the house, a bright and welcoming way to start each day. We enjoyed the kitchen space for cooking and gathering to graze/toast each other. The AC cools quickly and there seemed to be fans in every room, even the hallways. A big deal for battling Texas heat! The dinning room table allowed for comfortable meals, plenty of elbow room. The fenced in backyard with a patio deck, patio table, fire pit and hammock is where we enjoyed mornings and evenings. A highlight was watching our Sophie girl fetch stick after stick darting back and forth the large backyard space. A great time was had by all.

Short stay

My family found the house easily and with plenty of parking. The property was clean and inviting. The interior common areas were bright and spacious for family gatherings with plenty to do. Outside had a fire pit and horseshoes which we loved but with our short stay did not get to take advantage of. There were even dog towels for the wet paws and dog treats. The owners were very accommodating and responsive to our questions/requests. Would stay here again, but for a longer stay.

Perfect Accomadations

The house has everything you will ever need - appointed beautifully and plenty of room for all of us! Perfect location too. The backyard was extra large and fenced for our dogs. The firepit was awesome. Eating out on the deck was a pleasure, as well. The game room inside the home was great fun and a perfect gathering place for the whole family. Only disappointment was Smith Creek. It was very slow moving and in the deep parts where you could actually swim, was covered with scum. We will stay there again, for sure!

Quiet, Relaxing, Fun Getaway

This was an amazing property that had so much included for 3 couples spending time together. There was so much space for all of us to enjoy the scenery, activities, and relaxing comforts the home furnish. I personally enjoyed the layout of the custom kitchen. It made it fun and enjoyable to cook while we were there. It is as advertise on VRBO. Most importantly, we had a small, everyday issue come up with the house. Jennifer and Gregory were so prompt with communication and quickly resolving the issue. I hope to go back again some day if the opportunity presents itself.

Beautiful house, great location

The house was as beautiful and spacious as it appears in the pictures, with a big fenced in yard with plenty of chairs and games. Great location, about 5 minutes from the Blue Hole and downtown Wimberley. The hosts were very friendly and responsive. Definitely recommend!

Gregory is a woodworker and his handiwork is evident in each of their vacation homes. Jennifer is an art teacher and teaches small classes out of the studio behind their home. They have a large garden, chickens, cats, and two lovely daughters.

Why they chose this property

This property has such a special place in our hearts. With the hilly terrain and beautiful creek we feel like we have our own little slice of hill country heaven. We strive to keep our property as natural as possible, especially the riparian area around the creek. Our guests often see foxes, deer, a variety of birds, and other wildlife. We even have a blue heron that likes to fly over the creek each morning.

What makes this property unique

This home is the perfect gathering spot for families and groups of friends. The spacious living area, gorgeous renovated kitchen, and large backyard complete with horseshoes, badminton, a charcoal grill, and fire pit make it an easy place to have fun, relax, and reconnect. The yard is fenced for the safety of little ones and pets, but just behind the fence is lovely Smith Creek. We host many groups coming to Wimberley for weddings, girls' weekends, summer vacations, friend reunions and more. We'd love to host you!
