New Amish built cabin opening up March 14, 2025 near Hocking Hills/Tar Hollow St.Forest
Cabin on 7 acres up steep driveway embedded in the forest on a high hillside. You will need a car with front wheel drive, all wheel drive or a 4x4 as a rear wheel drive vehicle will not make it up the driveway in most cases. But once up the driveway you will find a private oasis. With beautiful views of the forest out every side of the cabin.
There is 2nd floor walkout to the back courtyard with a hot tub and fire pit as well as a cover porch. On the front is a cover porch on the first floor and a cover balcony on the 2nd floor. There is a pool table, ping pong table, arcade style video games, and our favorite is the wood burning fireplace.
The access to the trails is right out the back door. The trail are the only amenity that is shared with the other cabin, as it has access to the trails as well - though their climb is much more difficult. We have simple rules: - Put all trash in receptacles and take it out to the Rumpke dumpster can at the end of the driveway. - Wash and put away all dishes and clean up any food debris left and a quick sweep of any dirt or food, etc. - If you use the towels (especially for the hot tub) help us by washing and drying some of the towels, it can take a while. - General area pickup of trash outside. - Thats it - as far cleaning - we will take care of the rest. We are thankful for you staying. Other rules: Though we are in a very rural area, there still are neighbors out there. Sound can carry a lot through the valley (especially at night) when there is no other noise but nature. Outside activities that create a lot of noise (elevated music volume, yelling, loud laughing etc.) should cease after 9 pm on weekdays and 11:00 pm on Friday & Saturdays. - The only shared amenity between our two cabins (which are 100 yards apart) are the trails. Trails should only be used after 9 am until dusk. Please be safe. - No smoking or vaping at all inside the cabin.

A beautiful cabin with great amenities. Mark the host, was amazing. He made sure we enjoyed our trip. We can’t wait to do it again. We are already looking at the calendar for fal.
Cabin was very nice. Exactly as described! We had a great stay and time! Cabin has everything you need. Definitely will be staying here again in the future!!
Wonderful place to stay, nice and quiet. Just far enough away from a city , but close enough to be available to get food, places to eat. Owner is wonderful and spot on with communication. We highly recommended this property to anyone.
The cabin is absolutely beautiful, clean, & comfortable. Owner is great with communication and responds quickly. We had a really enjoyable stay and would definitely stay again.
Perfect getaway with the family! Everything was just as pictured! The teen kids were never bored with all the entertainment! We will definitely book again!
Such a beautiful cabin and we loved that it was pet friendly. This place is fully stocked with everything that we needed. Mark was always quick to respond to all our needs. Definitely make sure you have 4 wheel drive though, or you’re going to have a hard time making up the hill to the cabin. We truly enjoyed our stay!
Cabin was awesome...well equipped and just perfectly appointed for our family. The driveway is steep - so definitely heed the advert stating about needing a 4wd or AWD! The trails on property was an added bonus and was perfect for days we just wanted to hang around.
The cabin is amazing for family vacation!! Has everything you need for a comfortable, fun time away from your home. Was very peaceful sitting outside drinking coffee in the mornings and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings. Mark the host is very responsive. We will be looking forward to our next adventures in the area.
The new cabin was beautiful, and communication with the host, Mark, was great…he always answered right away and seemed to truly care about whatever the issue at hand was. Lots to explore out in the back of the property, kids and dog loved it. And we had a lot of fun playing pool, ping pong and foosball!
Wow! This cabin is beautiful and very clean. We had a wonderful stay! Lots of fun for kids and adults. Loved using the pool table, hot tub, and the fire pit. Can’t wait to come back.

This was an amazing property that allowed a peaceful weekend for my daughter’s birthday. Communication was amazing and easy with the host. The games at the location were fun and kept us entertained during the rain storm. We will definitely be returning for to this cabin in the fall!!!
The cabin was beautiful. It was very well stocked with everything you would need and was very clean. We had a great time over the weekend and the owners were very responsive. We were disappointed that the hot tub was broken and we weren't able to use it either night. We were offered a 25 credit per day, which we did feel like was not adequate as we would not have rented a place without a hot tub
Three of us enjoyed the cabin for a quick, overnight getaway. The cabin is immaculate and stocked with everything you’d need. Communication was great, as well. The driveway is very steep - I wouldn’t think about driving up unless in a truck or SUV. The stairs inside are also steep. We navigated just fine but would be an issue for guests with physical limitations. Surroundings are peaceful and quiet. Game room was an added plus!
My husband and I brought our two sons and their three friends to celebrate one son turning eleven and the other turning thirteen. It rained the entire weekend but we didn't even care. These boys played in the woods, got muddy, made a fire, did s'mores, used the hot tub, played lots of arcade games, pool and ping pong. Incredible experience for all of us.
Beautiful cabin with one of the best firepit areas and hot tub! The views are amazing as it is surrounded by trees and hills! The host is very communicative and you can tell they take pride in this place. We loved every bit of our family spring break vacation here!
The cabin was very clean and well stocked with kitchen supplies. We enjoyed both the wood burning fire place and the fire pit outside behind the cabin. It was a very comfortable and relaxing weekend.
