The Lincoln area has 13 lakes within its borders. with an abundance of rolling rivers, bubbling streams, deep, spring fed lakes and warm water ponds loaded with great bass, white perch and trout fishing.
'The Phoenix' located on a dead end road, right on the waters edge of one of Lincolns most beautiful lakes, features a master bedroom, a sleeping loft overlooking the kitchen and great room with sky lights and a beautiful brick fireplace. A sitting room with cathedral ceilings and skylights where you can just sit, relax and read a book or gather with family to play board games or do a puzzle. Tranquility at its best
The cabin is very welcoming and the views are out of this world. We felt right at home. We were able to fish every day and even learned how to kayak!

NICE !!
From entering the cottage to enjoying the lake, the kayaks and the firepit for a night time fire everything was perfect. Neal (the host) was available for any and all questions. Every household entity you could ask for was in the cottage and with a grocery store just a few miles away IT was a week of no stress.

Perfection on Long Pond
We had a wonderful stay at The Phoenix! Everything you need is provided. The location is ideal as you are literally just feet from the pond and less than 15 minutes to Lincoln and under an hour to Bangor! We enjoyed many of the amenities that the property offered--the kayaks, the fire pit, the grill, the wifi, the deck with it's afternoon shade...Our dog swam multiple times a day; he often would not eat until he got a morning swim in! We saw (and heard) loons and had a bald eagle fly by on our last day. We hope to return year after year!

I've been vacationing in Maine with my family since I was old enough to walk. My mother is a true 'Maine-iac', born and raised not far from the cabin and although she moved away when she and my father were married in 1954 we would always end up in Maine on vacation. So in 1985 the opportunity arose and my parents purchased the original cabin that sat on this very spot. In 1994 there was a devastating fire and the cabin was lost. After not knowing really what to do my mom decided to rebuild and in 1995 my sisters named our new cabin 'The Phoenix'.

Why they chose this property

If you've never been to Maine then you don't know how breathtaking it really is. Pictures or words cannot explain the calm and the relaxation felt here. You just can't find it anyplace else. To my family, it's the most beautiful place on the planet.
My mother lived in the cabin year round until late 2011 and has since decided to relocate a little closer to her great grandchildren. My sisters and I have been coming here all our lives and our children have been coming here their whole lives and now my grandchildren are coming here. Although friends and family have stayed over the years 2012 will be the first year that we will be renting the cabin. After generations it's part of us and we just don't want to let it go.

What makes this property unique

One of the most unique benefits of our cabin is that it sits at the end of a dead end road, so you never deal with any dusty traffic driving by, it is so calm and quiet. I've never had anyone, friends or family, stay at the cabin and not say ' it's the most beautiful place we've ever stayed' you get mesmerized just sitting on the deck and staring out over the lake at the scenery. or at night sitting at the fire pit looking up at the stars, you get dizzy there are so many!
