Turtle House is an elegant and comfortable fully furnished and equipped 3 bedroom, 2 bath, pool home with spa located on a fresh water canal in Cape Coral, Fl.
Turtle House is a 1900 sq. ft. Beach Style home with a pool that could be electric heated. Electric usage $45/ weekly included, spa, large covered lanai and a captain's walk leading out to a waterfront dock and sitting area where you can enjoy sunrises and sunsets while watching for turtles, fish and other wildlife.
The three bedroom two bathroom home is fully air-conditioned, includes ceiling fans throughout and features a pool and separate hot top. Each beautifully appointed bedroom boasts large walk-in closets and beds with orthopedic foam mattresses. The guest rooms both have queen sized beds and the master has a King sized bed and a chaise lounge for spending some quiet time enjoying a book or watching your favorite show on the 40 inch television. The bathrooms come complete with bath, pool and beach towels as well as hair dryers. The fully equipped kitchen features a glass top range, full size side by side refrigerator with ice maker and filtered water dispenser, microwave oven, dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster and blender. The home theatre room boasts a 55 inch smart LED television, comfortable theatre seating and contemporary styling which will have you enjoying movies in High Definition. Roku TV is included along with internet and telephone service. A laptop and printer is also provided for your convenience. Throughout the home you will find art from local artists as well as many other conversation pieces. Open living and dinning areas have sliding doors opening towards the lanai and pool area, incl BBQ. The expandable teak dining table and sitting area under the covered lanai is perfect for outdoor dining or to relax at the end of a busy day in the poolside loungers.

This booking was a huge disappointment. Despite the house itself being acceptable and well furnished we had so many issues which spoilt our vacation.The major issues were that the house had been structurally changed since booking in addition to daily very noisy building works within a few feet next door and lack of privacy. We had never been advised of these major issues before our final payment, otherwise we would have cancelled for a refund.The pool cage had been totally removed since we booked and the Lanai had been totally closed in leaving it very claustrophobic.On arrival we were given the wrong access code and wasted 2 hours getting in. We were without hot water for 48 hours and had to waste our vacation time waiting in twice for repair men to fix it. The hair drier blew up and burnt my wife’s hand whilst being used. The electric kettle had a European plug so could not be used and wasn’t replaced until 2 days before we left. Pool maintenance was almost non-existent (one visit in 12 days) and due to there being no cage, the pool and patio were always full of leaves and debris. Don’t be fooled by the TV room, it has a large TV and comfortable seating, but no cinema surround system so the sound quality from the TV was awful.We are currently making a substantial claim against VRBO/Visa for misrepresentation and false advertising.Of the many properties we have rented in this area this was, by far, the worst.

Two week vacation at the turtle house

We enjoyed our two weeks vacation at the turtle house so much I scheduled another two weeks vacation for next year before we left this vacation the house was excellent the location is great anything you want to do or eat is very close the only thing I have bad to say is the bed in the master bed room is just a little too soft it was comfortable but just a little bit to soft but that is the only thing that I could complain about we had a great time and can’t wait until next year

Great house

The house is very nice. Quiet area. We had 2 issues Mattresses in 2 rooms were just foam , not very comfortable. Internet modem is at one end of the house and the living room TV hardly got signal .

Unprofessional house manager wouldn't help

The house was clean, nicely decorated. The pool and hot tub had debris, lots of it, you couldn't see the bottom of the hot tub because so much. Pool was bad too. He did send the pool guy a day earlier but the pool guy said that they got the cheapest pool maintenance and it only gets vacuumed once a month. So, we were unable to use the pool or hot tub, the tub actually stinks. Also, the house was supposed to be stocked with essentials. We have stayed several places and there has always been aluminum foil, paper towels, garbage bags, sugar, coffee etc. It's always been a rule that if you use it all you replace it. We had to buy EVERYTHING, which was very expensive to do. The manager said it was because of covid. Well, he uses that as an excuse because you don't throw out garbage bags, paper towels, aluminum foil, baggies etc and keep opened popcorn, many jars of spices, olive oil, hand soap reusable containers etc. The second time we tried to discuss the pool and hot tub the manager would not let us talk at all he kept shouting over us and kept doing that every time we tried to talk about it. Also, the grill was brought up to him initially, it is a mess, filthy and it looks like it was on fire 🔥, he didn't care but expected us to clean it. Also there is a house manual that has information on many aspects of the house and equipment. The information on the hot tub clearly requests testing the water with test stips before using but none were provided. We were there for 2 weeks after a week the internet went out, we were told to call which was not easy because we are not the owner and after about an hour and a half we got someone who would listen, they would come out sometime in February. We talked to the owner, he sent us a copy of the conversation he had with them, he asked how they were going to compensate him for his lack of revenue because he had someone renting the house right after us. And he got them to come early, a half hour before we had to check out. This is a beautiful house, could be a great vacation spot but with cheap management that treats clients very disrespectful they will need to change things because the manager did not care at all and loved to yell a lot instead of fixing anything. We took pictures of everything, even the house manual. We left home essentials, aluminum foil, baggies, paper towels, laundry detergent and fabric softener, etc.

Enjoyed our stay

We found the property very nice and very well appointed. We thoroughly enjoyed the pool and hot tub. At night we would feed the turtles which was fun. The only issue is it’s not very close to anything(beaches, bars, waterfront restaurants) , but that’s a Florida problem not necessarily a location problem. 7 miles takes 45 min there lol. Overall we were very happy with our stay.

Turtle House Family Vacation

We rented this house for 2 weeks and found it to be a good central location for getting around . The House is well equipped, we loved the patio area, the pool and hot tub we used on a regular basis. I would recommend this house for a vacation.

Very nice house, pool, and spa.

don't let the unassuming appearance of the front of the house fool you. The interior is very nice, quality appliances in the kitchen, plenty of plates, and glasses in a variety of styles, plus plastic ones for using around the pool. Everything in the house worked. The pool was heated and serviced weekly. Only a couple days during our 2 week stay was the weather too cool to enjoy it, but on those days, we hung out in the spa, set to a toasty 102 degrees. The pics online are nice, don't really show how large the house is. All three beds have memory foam mattresses. There's patio doors from two of the bedrooms out to the pool, and a nice covered area by the pool for when you've had enough sun. Gunther, the property manager had us call him after we arrived to make sure we got in and settled and to make sure everything worked. He stopped by a couple days later to introduce himself to us, to make sure we were doing ok, and to answer any questions we might have. The house is 4/10 of a mile from the grocery store and there are lots of restaurants within a few miles of the house.
