I have noted your comments on the cleaning of the public walkways during your stay and you are absolutely correct that this should take place in an unobtrusive manner and time. Ai has reviewed this with the team as that shoudl be our standard. With regards to the amenities also this is absolutely correct as we keep for example salt and pepper in between meal periods and overnight in an oven that is pre warmed so that these condiments are pre dried and flaky Thank you also for your suggestion on preparing a booklet with information. Dear Ian, it was a pleasure to have you and your family stay with us at Private Villas of Bali and Villa Frangipani! Thank you very much for your very kind comments on both our property as well as our team. As I have mentioned to you when we met, we have a wonderful team most of whom have been with us for 7 years or longer. Over time we have developed our services to be intuitive, adapting to our guests needs. Because of this we are able to focus the different generations and their respective needs in a large family when they stay with us With regards to Tips, the team manages their tips and have developed a tip-sharing arrangement, whereby also our regular part time staff participate. As owners we do not get involved but at times when guest ask whether they can send such tips to us after they depart. we gladly assist and such tips are added to the staff's tips. As a matter of fact we also do share 5% of our revenues to our staff in addition to their salaries, medical benefits and a 13th month With regards to the temporary road there is light at the end at the end of the tunnel as finally discussions are ongoing to have a new access built Hopefully this will be ready by the time we hope to welcome you and your family back to our little paradise on the cliff with very best regards Robbert and Nina - owners

Dear Palina it was an absolute pleasure to have you and your family with us. Further to our communications after your departure and when we received your review we have done a full investigation Firstly we are very pleased to read that our Villa Frangipani was beautiful clean and spacious and that especially our pool was the best part ( indeed we have one of the largest pools of any villa) Your further mentioned that the massages and the food were great, the chef even fantastic!! and that you enjoyed our recommended Roosterfish beach club nearby and the para gliding which has a jump-off point adjacent to the villa. Thank you for these kind comments I have noted the fact that you found that our staff hard to find especially to daily change the pool towels. Our team may not have explained this you clearly but we do not change the pool towels daily ( unless they are soiled) and we have a drying rack in front or adjacent each room. With 10-12 guests each stay we would have to launder 60 such towels for a 5 night stay. I will certainly look into this communication so as to avoid re-occurrence. The biggest issue as you very correctly identified was the issue related to our Butler Jerry. Firstly Jerry does not work for 2 villas, we have a total of 20 employees amongst which 4 butlers to take turns in terms of shifts and days off. The rest of the team consists of housekeepers, engineers, gardeners and a manager. We normally do not do whopping for our guests and I understand that Jerry had taken this upon himself. Jerry had worked for us during the early years of our operation and had left us for other employment some 6 years ago. We rehired him last year as he was known for great guest care as is seen in many of our reviews. Thanks to your follow up call to our manager we discovered that Jerry had not only taken all tip ( we have a communal ( very Balinese ) system that all tips are shared between all employees and this is managed by a committee of 3 of our team members) but also collected your final payment and not deposited this. Our team is very upset and disappointed about tuis case as this is the very first time in our 8 years of existence that something like this has happened. Our team has taken this very personal and have asked me to not only offer our apologies as the owner but to offer their apologies. Jerry has immediately resigned and returned al the monies. Based on the initiative of the staff we have not reported this to the police as he would have been branded and it would almost be impossible for him to find another job Palina we are all very embarrassed by this incident and my wife and I would like to offer you our very sincere apologies We unfortunately as a Premier host in VRBO will be damaged in our reputation by this incident and I can assure you that this is something that has deeply scarred us as owners and our team I hope that we will be able to welcome you and our your family an friends back to our little paradise on the cliff and my team especially has asked my to wish you and your family all the very best with very best regards Nina and Robbert – owners

It was great to have your family with us and we were very pleased that you tried our home-cooked balinese dinner and special BBQ and that you also tried Heinz' restaurant Bumbu Bali. Next time you should consider their cooking class, it is the best on the Island. Thank you also for your kind words on our staff upon your departure, they are indeed trained to try to understand each of the guests needs as often we have multiple generations of guest in the villa each with different needs and wishes. Dear Faheem, thank you so much for your kind review on Homeaway. You were our very first guest and we will never forget this. Since your first visit we have made a lot of additions to our services. We have added a day bed in the spa area so that after enjoying our wonderful ocean view Jacuzzi you can relac on our day bed and either enjoy a massage or bodyscrub or just relax with a bottle of wine. We relocated the massage beds to the pool area adjacent to the waterfall and we have added a range of wonderful dinner menus to our selection. We hired two more chefs and besides western cuisine, we feature homecooked Balinese menus, Indonesian food.
