The George Farmhouse was established in 1898 and has remained in the family for generations. The family has decided to open the house to guests. The farm is operational with cows, horses and other farm related activities. Guests should not be surprised to see tractors in operation and other daily tasks taking place around the house. From the property you can see the majestic view of Moore's Wall and Hanging Rock. We are located approximately 5 minutes from Hanging Rock State Park. This open floor plan offers the perfect set up for any size family and is perfect for your escape to Stokes Couny. Guests will find 3 queen beds and three twin beds, offering comfortable sleeping arrangements for families or friends. The single bathroom offers ammenities for added convenience. Enjoy a tranquil setting where you can unwind after a day of exploring. Whether you’re relaxing indoors or stepping outside, the pleasant atmosphere invites you to slow down and savor the moment. Make your getaway one for the books with a stay at our place.

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Place the trash in the outside containers. Place used towels in the tub. Strip the bed of SHEETS only and place at the foot of the bed. Do not take any decorative linens off the bed.
Leave the keys on kitchen bar. Leave the door unlocked.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Our stay at the George Farmhouse was extremely pleasant. Linda was very communicative and we were happy to learn from her the history of the farm. The house, while built in the late 1800s, was meticulously clean and there were several, very appreciated amenities included, like coffee pods, toothbrushes, and disposable drink and dinnerware.

This was such a nice family. The also was very pleasant, kept things clean and in order. They followed the rules that is posted to when preparing to leave the property. I would rent to them again. Very nice family. They are welcome back any time. Linda

We loved our time at The George Farmhouse. Linda and Rebecca came to meet us when we arrived and showed us around as well as let us know they were available should we need anything at all. They involved our 5 children in caring for the horses and cows, took us down to the river, and recommended things to do/places to eat, etc. They truly went above and beyond to make our vacation memorable for all of us. Everything in the house was meticulously cleaned and well cared for. We encourage everyone to unplug and spend a week at The George Farmhouse. We can't until our next visit.
