We had the best time at this gorgeous house! We visited Afton, VA as a ‘parents getaway weekend’ with 4 couples and this property fit us all perfectly. The house is well maintained, comfortable, private, and has a beautiful view. There was plenty of room for our group to relax comfortably in the main living area, and outside on the patio. We had so much fun visiting the local wineries. We hope to visit again soon!
This was the perfect home for a weekend getaway to celebrate friends getting married!! It was super easy to get to, so many places within just a few minute drive. We had an amazing time. The host was wonderful and we would love to go back
Our stay was very comfortable. The home was modern and clean. The yard was large and great for play. The outdoor space with the fire pit and hot tub was perfect for the chilly evenings we were there. We caught some amazing sunsets on Thanksgiving. The views are gorgeous! I want to come back in the warmer months!
Very clean and located in a beautiful area! The beds were fantastic to sleep on and our group had a great time catching up by the fire pit. Definitely will save this place for future trips!
Great house with the most beautiful view! It was perfect for our girls weekend. Tip: grab a bag of ice on your way in. Ice maker is small and takes a while to produce more. Tip #2: stovetop is difficult to learn. Watch a YouTube!House was clean, plenty of space, comfortable!
The home was perfect to say the least. The view, location and amenities did not lack. Kitchen was fully stock and there was plenty of firewood. We really enjoyed our stay with our children. We all agree we will be back! The picture is of our morning view from the master bedroom.
Great location and house. Easy to get around to many hikes, breweries and vineyards. Night time around fire pit with great star viewing. Excellent stay
This house was perfect for our family of five, with more room than we needed. The location is perfect; far enough away from main roads that we felt relatively isolated, but still super close to great vineyards, breweries, and hiking trails. The views of the Blue Ridge Mountains (and Humpback Rock!) are spectacular. The house had everything we needed, and the beds/pillows were the most comfortable I've had for a hotel or rental property maybe ever. If you tend to sleep in, you may want to bring a sleeping mask as those beautiful windows do tend to let a lot of light in early in the morning. Property management was super helpful and responsive. Overall a fantastic experience, we will definitely be back!
We stayed for two nights at this property - 6 adults, a 5 year old and an 18 mo old. We really enjoyed the stay. Beautiful house and property a close drive to many wineries and breweries. Crozet is about 15 minutes away if you need groceries, etc. The upstairs is fairly protected sound-wise from downstairs which was a nice touch if you have kids with you. One bedroom is downstairs and three are upstairs. My only minor quibbles were the lack of curtains in two bedrooms, and one of three cooking pots available wasn't really working on the induction stove. The master bedroom was lacking curtains which didn't bother the folks staying in there, but it might bother some. Our bedroom was lacking a curtain on one window, fortunately not the eastern side of the house. That said, we would definitely stay again. The views are AWESOME.

Thanks so much for the review Maegan! We do have light filtering solar blinds in the master bedroom and bathroom which we meant to take the place of curtains, and left a curtain off of the small window in the bedroom you mentioned to offer views of the mountains and because it has minimal visibility from the outside in and any passersby, but point taken - thank you for the feedback. We'll also add to our pots and pan collection to ensure it's easy to use everything on the induction stove. Hope to see you back again soon!
What a fantastic stay we had over the long July 4 weekend at Plume. We knew from the pics we were in for a treat but driving up to the property and entering the house we knew the pics didn’t tell the whole story. Simply put Plume is AH-MAZ-ING! As a new property everything was built to focus on the view. And what a view it is. Gorgeous mountain sunsets, huge windows, welcoming wildlife (family of deer greeted us day one and appeared at sunset each evening!), and simple, minimalistic decor assured that nothing detracted from the Blue Ridge. Location is ideal for the area as we ventured out to Wintergreen, Staunton, Waynesboro (thanks Kayleigh for recommending Happ coffee house) and several local breweries - all within easy driving distance. It was hot as Hades during the day so we put the HVAC to the test and it passed easily. Nights cooled off so we could enjoy the stars from the balcony. Better comforts than home with a large wet room, King suite with new bedding, dream kitchen and the perfect sectional to curl up and binge some Max. Ideal stay, ideal host, ideal house, ideal location, ideal hospitality! We sometimes say we’ll be back. But this time we mean it.

Thank you so much. You were such fabulous guests and it makes so happy that you enjoyed Plume as much as we do! Please come again.
Plume delivered all that we could have hoped for as we took a trip recently to the Mountains of Virginia. We had the opportunity to stay at this magnificent getaway. This home delivers in every area. It is a luxurious experience in the heart of the mountains. We had the opportunity to enjoy the mountains views in the hot tub by day and the stars by night. The fire pit offered us comfort and conversation with our family as we wound down there at night. That's just considering the time we spent outside. Inside, the accomodations match the wonder of the outside. With plenty of space to cook and share a meal, the kitchen and dining did not disappoint. Everything you need to cook and serve is found in Plume. Our family absolutely loves to be able to bring the groceries in and not be bothered by rushing away from our relaxation to find a meal. Plume allows you to enjoy the peacefulness of this Mountain Home. Let me just tell you when it came time to turn in for the night that these beds are on another level. Sweet dreams await you no matter where you sleep in Plume. Last but not least the showers and baths available at Plume are top notch. I've never stayed in a place with a shower and separate tub as nice as the upstairs Master Suite in Plume. In short, is it worth a trip to the Virginia Mountains and specifically to Plume? Absolutely! You won't be disappointed!
