This home boasts a great combination of historic charm and modern conveniences. Well appointed kitchen and bathrooms. The location is fantastic. So easy to find and walkable to downtown shopping, restaurants and the harbor. Communication with the host was excellent. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
House was just as described, great location/ proximity to town, and having a washer dryer was a huge plus. A rack or rod to hang clothes in all the bedrooms would be convenient.
This was a unique property that we were unsure of but decided to give it a try . . . It has shared bathrooms which we generally don’t do with our group but was priced accordingly and looked nice. We were very happy with our decision. Very clean and cute with nice shared spaces. There was a bit of street noise, but the sound machines provided came in very handy. Great access to Camden and Mount Battie. Our group was very happy with the experience.

Rooms were clean. Fantastic location and great price
We absolutely loved our stay at this historic home! It was a perfect location for all of the activities we were looking to do in the Camden area. Everything was clean and ready to use. Kate was clear with all of her communication and was so helpful with her suggested list of sights and sounds/to-dos. We will absolutely be staying here again!
Charming old farmhouse, with a lovely host who is wonderfully attentive to details. Great location, with easy access to Camden and other charming towns as well as nature. I highly recommend this rental
We really loved staying at this old farmhouse. It was spacious and roomy with a lot of old timey touches. The kitchen may have been the most well furnished kitchen we’ve ever stayed in at a rental with literally every kitchen tool, pot and pan we needed to cook multiple meals. Communication with the host was great and very prompt. The location of this rental is excellent and we did some hiking in Camden Hills State Park, which is literally just up the road. The rental is also only about a mile outside of Camden itself so we were able to go in in the afternoons for an iced latte and other snacks. Since this property is right on the side of Highway 1, there is a fair amount of road noise but there are white noise machines provided in every bedroom, which is a really nice touch.
The check in was extremely smooth. We needed a lobster pot, and it was immediately provided. This was the best kitchen we’ve ever had with everything and then some. The host was very responsive and helpful. We’d stay here again.
A historic Camden farmhouse that has everything you need for a great stay. Kate is an excellent host!

The property was clean and well stocked for our stay. Camden is a wonderful place to visit with a lot of places to enjoy. There were a couple of things that detracted from the experience. Labeling the house as 'farmhouse' is a bit misleading. It is just a few yards away from a busy highway through the town. Traffic noise was present most of the time and the cute little patio had the worst of it. In addition, the listing and photos says two queen bedrooms and two bathrooms. What it didn't say was that the bedrooms are second floor, but only one bathroom is up there. The second bathrrom (the only one with a shower stall) is on the first floor opening directly into the living room. Wish we had known this.

Thank you for your review. I'm glad you found the house clean and well stocked and enjoyed visiting Camden.
Sherman House is a historic 1820s farmhouse, and its location offers convenient access to Camden and the surrounding Midcoast area. As with many older homes, its layout is somewhat unconventional, with all the bedrooms and one bathroom upstairs and the second bathroom downstairs.
I appreciate your feedback and will review the listing description to make sure the location and bathroom arrangement are as clear as possible for future guests.
Loved the historic Sherman House. Our family was so pleased with the accommodations. It was cozy and relaxing for our Christmas vacation. Beautiful location and the snow made it even more beautiful! Kate was an excellent host. We would love to return.
Lovely, clean, well appointed house conveniently located close to downtown Camden. The host went out of her way to help us. We had all the information we needed before we arrived. The house has lots of room with 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a large living room and kitchen. The fact that we could bring our dog was an added bonus. We would stay there again.
