BEAR-A-BOUT Cabin - 3 bedrooms, 3 baths with Hot Tub!
BEAR-A-BOUT
We purchased this home because of the location, minutes to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, and Dollywood. Since we are not spring chickens anymore we wanted a home that had level parking and both master suites are on the main floor with no steps to climb. The downstairs is the game room with pool table . There is also a full bath downstairs. It's so comfy and cozy we fell in love at first sight. I hope you will enjoy our home as much as we do. The Smoky Mountains are breathtaking and there is just so much to do, whether it be hiking, skiing, bear watching, shopping, restaurants, the list is endless. The kitchen is well equipped with dishes, silverware, pots and pans, a mixer, a blender, a Magic Bullet, a toaster, a sandwich maker, roasting pan, a steamer and more. Both master suites have queen size beds with TV in the living room and all bedrooms. All rooms have plenty of lighting, got a great hot tub, enjoy checkers in the living room and sunbathe on the large 12x16 deck. Smoking is permitted on the outside decks only please and ash trays are provided.

The Bear-a-Bout was a great property with good location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. Lived up to its name because we saw a mama bear and 3 cubs on our initial drive to the cabin, and saw them again the next morning. Two of the three bedrooms were very nice, and the third was okay but was in “basement” and my 6’2” height was very close to be a challenge. Otherwise, we had a great stay!
We arrived early messaged property owner and she let us in early , She is a very nice and professional Owner gave info on bear activity in the area and the cabin was clean as well as outside the drive up to the cabin was a lil steep but that is country living hot tub 100 degree felt great after a day of walking in Gatlinburg thank alot Karen for providing a great place to stay half way in between Pigeon forge and Gatlinburg thanks again. Hey Sherry, Just got back from Bearabout, all the damage that mama bear did has been repaired. Oh those bears! Hope to see you next year and yes lock those doors! Karen. 😁
3 bedrooms with out baths is a big plus. We absolutely loved this location and cabin. Host was amazing. We looked for a mountain spot, small as we are there to sleep and eat and relax don’t need nothing massive. Great pricing we even check once there on the websites for the properties that at signup and this cabin was cheaper than the others and had more space beds and other stuff. Well worth it. Host was amazing. We definitely be back to stay here if available when we’re planning. Thanks again Host Karen!!
The outside of the cabin was covered in cob webs. The shower in the first bedroom had bad water pressure and a bad shower head. We also found a few dirty utensils in the drawer. Overall it was a nice stay but a bit of a difficult drive to get there. Quiet and peaceful
It was super spacious and in a great location. Perfect for 4 of us and we could easily had more fit in the space. We loved spending the evenings on the porch in the hot tub and playing pool (we did have to put one of our brushes under a leg of the pool table because it wasn’t level, but that’s no biggie). The host pictures do not do it justice it is spacious and adorable. I’ll be sure to look at it again for my next trip up here.
Great location. Close to the parkway and Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Clean and spacious place for a great retreat. Would be nice if the TV was a smart TV.
The cabin was cozy and the hot tub was nice there were a few jets not working and we loved playing pool but only one pool stick was good the other needed tips on it and the table was un level..The cabin was clean other than some dirt and trash under the sofa..The host was wonderful and easy to work with and prompt responding..I love that it was pet friendly with no additional fees I was disappointed it was right beside of the road and nowhere for my dogs to run and play but we managed and had a great time..

Thanks for letting me know about the hot tub and pool sticks, it is being taken care of
This cabin was perfect for what we needed! The pictures did not do as much justice. This Cabin looked so much better and nicer in person than the pics. It was clean and you can tell very well kept up with. The rooms was spacious enough. Very cozy home! Love it and will be looking to rent again.
I spent spring break with my four kids—two boys (11 and 8) and two girls (13 and 6)—and it was an amazing trip. The cabin was in a perfect location, just minutes from Pigeon Forge, where we enjoyed rides, mini golf, great food, and plenty of fun activities and shopping. Dollywood was only about 20 minutes away and ended up being a great experience for the kids. There were also plenty of opportunities to get outdoors. We took a trip up to an observation deck with several beautiful overlook spots along the way—definitely a highlight. After that, we extended our drive to Cherokee, NC, which turned out to be a really nice town to explore. We browsed local shops and picked up some beautiful locally made art. While we were there, we ate at Pop’s Smokehouse—great food and very affordable. On the drive back to the cabin, we saw about a dozen elk, which was a first for us and really exciting.Back near the cabin, we even had daily sightings of bears—a mom and her cubs—which was incredible to see (from a safe distance). Definitely remember to lock your car, though—a bear actually opened our van door trying to get inside!Overall, it was the perfect location for the cabin and a really well-balanced trip with something for everyone.
Very cozy. Love the layout. The host was very nice.

Why they chose this property
When I first saw the Smoky Mountains I was hooked. Having a home in Sky Harbor means being right between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The area is quiet, easy to get to but when you come down off the mountain, everything is there within minutes, turn left to go to Galinburg and right to go to Pigeon Forge and Dollywood, what could be better? As they say, location, location, location ! Enjoy !
What makes this property unique
Somehow just stepping in to the cabin, all troubles melt away, maybe it's all the pine siding on the walls or the cozy fireplace and maybe just sitting out on the back deck and looking at the mountains and trees. There is just such a sense of serenity for us. I hope you love it as much as we do
