We greatly enjoyed our vacation at Lake Winnipesaukee this year - especially with everything that has happened with COVID-19. This house is less then a minute walk to the beach at Far Echo so it was great for us to go back and forth from the house for anything we needed. The owner was cooperative and flexible with arranging the rental as well as ensuring we enjoyed our stay! The accommodations met all of our needs too. We would definitely rent this house again!

Patrick and his family left the house so meet and clean, and it was very much appreciate. Hope they come back to revisit.
The location of property was awesome a short hop to the sandy beach with stunning views of lake Winnipesaukee could not have asked for a better vacation thank you Mary jo will be looking forward to next year
If you're looking for a classic, knotty-pine, casual and comfortable lake cottage, this is the place for you. Reminded us of camps our family owned in years gone by. This classic, timeless lake house is great for families. A few minutes walk from a lovely and never-crowded community beach, we were even able to rent a slip for our boat and dock it right there, thanks to the cottage owner who helped us find that connection. We stayed there during a heat wave and the air conditioning wasn't quite strong enough, so bear that in mind if you're planning on coming during a hot spell. Owner was incredibly communicative and sweet. Enjoy your stay!
We stayed at Mary Jo’s cottage with our four children. The house was spacious and well stocked. The location is perfect for kids because it’s a quiet, safe neighborhood with walking distance to a beautiful beach. Mary Jo was an incredible host. Highly recommend!!
Don’t let this one pass you by!! Cute cozy comfy cottage. In peaceful private vacation community. Beautiful immaculate beach just steps away. Everything we needed was there. Owner very pleasant and accommodating. Great price compared to others in the area. Nothing fancy. Just a comfortable home away from home. We loved it!!!
We had a wonderful 2 weeks here. The location is perfect. Close to things but not too close. Spent most of our time at the beautiful beach. The house was great. Despite the hot temps the ceiling fans and shady location kept things comfortable. Can’t wait to go back next year.

Awful
This home could be the perfect place great area.. lovely neighbors short walk to the lake.. but the house itself was disgusting.. the deck is falling off.. mouse poop in cobwebs.. a mess. After finally getting ahold of Owner to express our concerns she didn’t seem apologetic and said we could leave... if you have a family with small children I would not recommend this home for you

Kathy,
I apologize for your unpleasent experience. The house was rented twice before you arrived and I always hire a cleaning crew to come in after each guest. I PERSONALLY inspect the house after the cleaners do their job to make sure everything is neat and tidy but unfortunately during your stay I was overseas. It is an older house, and by any means does not pretend to be a 5 star hotel room. I will certainly take your concerns into account and I appreciate your feedback.

Great place!
We really enjoyed staying at this cottage. It was clean, well stocked with utensils and comfortable. The beach is a 1 min walk, and is beautiful. Very friendly community also.
We had hot weather and although there is no ac, it was kept relatively cool with ceiling fans. Comfortable sleeping. I will definitely rent again. Mary Jo couldn’t be nicer!

Filthy Cottage--Definitely BYO linens, towels, gloves, and cleaning supplies
Let's start with the positive--the location was fantastic and the mattresses were comfortable. The wi-fi was great, too. The beach at the Harbor Club and the neighbors were wonderful. The owner was responsive, friendly, welcoming, generous (let us use her canoe, beach chairs, and bug spray) and we were so looking forward to our stay. Upon arrival, we discovered the house had not been cleaned. Crumbs on the counters, food scraps in the sink, coffee in the coffee pot, thawed meat (not ours) in the fridge, and opened condiments and food in the freezer and fridge, plus trash in the garbage can AND outside on the grounds (empty cans, bottles, etc.). The flatware was clean, but we had to wash everything else before we used it. The plates in the cabinets had crumbs on them and the coffee cups had residue in them. The kitchen was well-stocked, but the cabinets were a big jumble--no organization at all. The bathroom counter had a used razor, opened toothpaste with no lid, and blobs of toothpaste in the sink. The owner had not put anything away in the bathroom. I bagged up a shower caddy with wet sponges, shampoo, razors, gloppy bars of soap, several toothbrushes, prescription medications (she knew kids were coming), used towels, a filthy bathmat and rug, a HAIRBRUSH FULL OF HAIR and tons of opened, sample-sized products. I spent the first 2 hours of my vacation scrubbing. The screen in the door (key in NH) was duct-taped in and falling out--we had to buy duct tape and put it back up. The owner graciously agreed to provide linens, as we were traveling. The towels were mismatched, threadbare, and full of holes. The sheets/bedding smelled fresh, but every single bed and sheet had a stain of some kind--some yellow undefined stains, blue ink stains, etc. We had no place to go and had prepaid. The hotels were full and we needed a kitchen. I had to reassure my children (and myself) that the beds and bathroom were clean, despite the stains and that I had personally cleaned the bathroom. Even the fans were full of dust and had to be cleaned before we could use them. The TV in the room with the twin beds was covered with dust. The couch cushions had patched holes. The owner apologized and agreed to refund $100--that was over three weeks ago and I haven't seen any refund. For the price, I did not expect fancy, but I did expect clean. The house is a good size, the price was right, and the beach was excellent, but I would not stay again.

Perfect spot for a quiet get away
The house is in a nice area with a gorgeous beach and view of lake winnipesauke. Very nice neighborhood with friendly families all around. Moultonboro is a short drive to the closet "downtown" area of Meredith, which makes it a great spot for a vacation. Also only about 30 minute drive from Weirs beach. The house was perfect size for my friends and I which made our stay that much better. Would recommend if you enjoy the lake and a nice vacation away from it all.
