We really liked the cabin. The furniture was comfortable and the bedrooms worked out great. The driveway was a little tricky. We used the hot tub and firepit.

The reviews about the driveway are not to be dismissed. The driveway is steep. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied with dishes. Make sure you bring your own dish soap, that was not provided. The hot tub was fantastic.

Early summer getaway

Had a great time at this unique cabin in the mountains! Enjoyed sitting in the hot tub with a beautiful view. We even saw two bears one morning. Driveway is steep but manageable

Refrigerator and freezer did not work. We were told to buy ice ice. We had a bag in the refrigerator and freezer which were both set at the coldest temperatures. Ultimately we kept all food in freezer with the bag of ice. Nothing froze! The frustrating part is that other folks noted the same problem starting in June, 2 months before we stayed there. The house definayely has upkeep issues. Windows don't seal; there are gaps. Bathroom vent is rusting and looks like it will fall out of the ceiling and condensation drips constantly. The metal staircase is jimmy rigged with a board and duct tape on the bottom 2 steps. The photos on the website are AI inhanced. They do not represent reality.

Overall, the stay was fun. It was a unique cabin in the woods and we saw bears every day. The hot tub was a plus for the kids. However, the driveway is steep and not easy to access. My husband would have to stand in the street to let me know if cars were coming. There is an overgrown tree that needs cleaned up as it is over the only part of the driveway you can get out of. You will high center if you use the center of the driveway. Also, refrigerator does not work great. Freezer did not freeze anything. No ice and our food thawed. Sent email to contact and never heard back. It is a very damp cabin. Towels do not dry. Also, shampoo, conditioner, body and hand wash provided but no dish soap. And, never found the clubhouse in the pictures. The pictures do need updated.

Extremely disappointing

Was not cleaned when we checked in - was difficult communicating with hosts. No light in stairwell, coffee pot leaks, only 2 tiny bars of soap for 3 people for 4 days. soap left in bathroom from previous guests. bear poop on front walk. decks in really bad shape. Kitchen was well equipped and towels were really nice. Other than that the place was a DUMP

We enjoyed our stay at this nice spacious cabin. It was comfortable and had all the things needed for our long weekend away. When we arrived the hot tub was not working but my husband contacted the cabin caretaker and they came the next day and fixed it with a new control panel. We appreciated the prompt response. We were not fond of the spiral staircase because of our mobility issues but we knew it was there when we chose the cabin. There needs to be an updated tv channel guide showing just the channels the cabin gets. It was very difficult to navigate thru the channels and figure out what was what and it required all 3 three remotes to operate one tv. But we had great wifi and cell signal. We also appreciate that the cabin was very clean and well kept.

Poop Hole!!! Septic Does Not Exist!!!!

DO NOT RENT THIS CABIN!!!!!!Feces in downstairs bathroom floating down the hall. All senior citizens having to put out towels on the floor before we could get our stuff upstairs. Had a dialysis patient who surely didn't need to be around this poop situation. Contacted all parties for a refund with no answer at all!!! This also happened May 17,2021 and again August 4,2021. Sooo rent at your own peril!! Also DO NOT use fireplace it smokes up the whole house. Fire alarm went off it was so bad!! These people suck!! Wonder how they would feel if they were on vacation and feces were floating around them!!! I'm sure they would demand a refund..

The outside of the cabin was super cute. Just as pictured. Getting into the driveway was a tricky process. You definitely need a higher setting vehicle, our suv's barely cleared the entrance drop. Tge inside of the cabin was cute. However, a big clean needed to happen. There were dead bugs in the window seals. The furniture was different than what was puctured, but not a problem. You have to climb stairs to get in and out of the cabin. And go up and down a narrow, spiral staircase to get down to the other two bedrooms. The downstairs was super cute. It was very cold downstairs though. The dvd player wasn't able to be used, as there were no cables. This was a little bit of a bummer, due to having kids looking forward to movies at night. When taking showers/baths, both bathroom held moisture. Water droplets would build up around the registers and stay there. All in all, this cabin was a fun place to stay. We saw so many bear while at this cabin. We even had one walk on our deck and look in at us. We had several bear sit under the deck and look up at us, while we were outside. Definitely a really neat cabin. I'm sure the other cabins have some flaws as well. It did the job for us and I guess that's what really matters.

No house number on the street with small numbers on the house not readable from street. No garbage cans on property. Air filter for air purifier nasty and needing change. House had a musty smell. Two of the the remote controls for TVs dead batteries. Trash out on the property. Big dead tree right next to house.

Cabin was in bad need of a deep cleaning

The cabin had an unpleasant odor that hit you as soon as you walked in the door. There was a good amount of deep cleaning that could’ve been done to help make it a very nice cabin. The layout of the cabin was very neat, but definitely needed a good cleaning!

Our family had a great time during our stay here. The location to gatlinburg and pigeon forge was good. We got to enjoy nature and see some bears ! Our kids enjoyed the hot tub and going to the pool. We would love to stay again when we come back

The refrigerator fidnt work our food spoiled thete was no swing set swimming pool or tennis court like on the picture it was just a damp place tjat needs to be taken off the sight we call the man mark said we dont come out over the weekend its the cabin on north Baden st Gatlingburg Tenn. You all need not to ever rent out that cabin until the fix it disgusting

Overall nice cabin for the week. Driveway is steep and was occasionally hard to get in and out of but doable. No Mountain Views but felt pretty private. Nice woodsy feel. No dishwasher but thankfully had paper plates and utensils. Also had a family of bears meandering around the cabin. Would probably stay again in future.

Very quiet

The cabin is located on the side of a mountain so the driveway is at a super decline but cannot be helped so just be prepared. The rest of the place is great! 2 levels and very quiet location. Hot tub was a nice amenity. Tons of room for 6 people.

Nice older cabin but trouble with wifi

This is a cute and comfortable house with good amenities. Overall, it was a good experience. The only problem we had was an issue with the WiFi that led to a frustrating situation with the owner. The WiFi wasn’t working and my husband realized that one of the power cords to the router had been cut or chewed through. We messaged the owner, whose only help was to remind us of the password. He made no effort to understand what the problem was and didn’t offer to help with it at all. We eventually made it work by taping the cord together with a bandaid! The owner didn’t seem to care that this was only a temporary solution.not a big deal in the end, but a stressful way to start our vacation.

Amazing house in the woods

We loved our stay!! We had family come in internationally so we wanted an amazing vacation in a big house and it’s exactly what we got!! The house has 2 floors and is very spacious. Plenty of towels for the house and hot tub. The kids had a blast playing with the different games. We even had a bear come really close and go inside our car. An unforgettable holiday!! Thank you

Disappointed

Our main disappointment was with the accuracy of the listing. It states there is working internet, which we found the cables were cut to the internet and it did not work which made none of the TVs work either. We found an unplugged weekend to be nice, however, this was not accurate info. We tried reaching out to the service desk and proper contact multiple times and got no answer after leaving messages. It also states there is a clean hot tub to enjoy, hot tub was not hooked up properly and it was extremely dirty inside of it. There’s also no air circulation in the house (ceiling fans or bathroom fans), there wasn’t any dish soap provided since there wasn’t a dishwasher and no trash bags (this was just a minor inconvenience, nothing too big bc we bought some). The spiral staircase the last two stairs are duct taped, I assume something happened to them at some point and that was a way to fix them fast but doesn’t feel like proper safety. Overall we made the best of our trip and enjoyed it with our friends. I do wish the listing was more accurate and I will not be renting this property again unfortunately. I hope they revamp this property for future guests!

Girls getaway

the cabin was very roomy. We had issues with the TV's working. Someone came out the following morning and was able to get 1 of the 3 working. Leaves were horrible on the deck. Beautiful view and YES we had a bear visit our property.

Everything was still dirty when we arrived

It had not been cleaned so I called & was told the cleaners would be there by 5:30. They showed up at 6:30 making us miss our reservation at a restaurant. The place as well smells of mold or musty smelling even after the cleaning. Nobody reached out to us to apologize or anything about our missing our reservation or to say sorry it wasn’t clean.

Bear Retreat

We enjoyed our stay & we had a visitor almost every morning. The house was clean and just as described. We didn’t spend as much time at the house this time due to the excitement of being in Gatlinburg & Pigeon Forge. We do plan on making this a yearly trip.
