Mansion in the woods

Overall this is a fascinating old place to stay. However the biggest problem is that the wi-Fi is completely useless and there is almost no cell signal. This makes doing any kind of emails or web-browsing impossible. There is only one TV and of course it doesn’t work without satellite/internet. The Manager was helpful but could not fix the issue during or stay of 14 nights.

Great location! The home was big enough for all of the family. We had 15 staying at the home. We felt welcomed from the minute we arrived. Plenty to see and do in the area.

The overall impression from the entire group was that the pictures that are provided do not do the property any justice. This place is magnificent. We will absolutly be returning here for our next Nashville, Tennessee trip.

We are the proud owners of Big East Fork Retreat, embedded in 1400 acres of pristine valley, stream, pasture, and ridge which creates the protected watershed of Big East Fork Valley. It is located 30 minutes west of Nashville and 10 minutes north of Franklin.

We have been working on the retreat for several years and enjoy entertaining people passing through or staying for a week or two. I am a retired physician (surgical pathology) and my partner is a pediatrician. We treasure being stewards in our unique natural surroundings.
