About this property

Fork Inn's Blackberry House 4BR/2Bath above pristine Big East Fork Valley

Blackberry house is on the ridgetop of a beautiful Eastern hardwood forest. Blackberry bushes line our gorgeous ridge. Wonderful hiking trails maintained by the non-profit Center for Sustainable Stewardship right outside your door! Close to Leipers Fork, art and music. This is a 3 bedroom/2 bath home with hardwood floors, an expansive deck and a large carpeted ground floor community room (bunk room with many additional beds) for games, or meetings or lounging. NO PARTIES !

The Fork Inn is located in Big East Fork Valley, a unique pristine natural area 20 miles west of Nashville, and six miles from both historic Franklin and Leipers Fork village. Adjacent to a Natchez Trace National Park and Timberlands County Park, our valley contains two lakes, several ponds, and miles of creek and hiking trails. There are country roads for biking and a few for riding off-road .

Fork Inn's Blackberry House has 3 traditional bedrooms, one large common bedroom downstairs. There are only 2 full bathrooms with small living room, large dining room table, and large outdoor porch. The Mansion in the Woods is a four minute walk away. For larger groups, there are 11 additional rentals on adjacent parcels!

Blackberry House is situated near 300-acre Lake Gratitude Nature Sanctuary. It's lakeside picnic shelter and fire pit is available to Fork Inn guests until dark. All Fork Inn guests are invited use the 6-acre Lake and hiking trails during daylight hours. The Forest Stage and Yoga studio may be rented by Fork Inn guests.

The Center for Sustainable Stewardship, CSS, is a 501(c) 3 non-profit located down the hill. Volunteers from CSS maintain the hiking trails and provide bicycles and guided nature wallks. Membership is required to help sustain their work in connecting folks to authentic natural activities (organic farms, boating, hiking, nature education, horseshoes, shuffle board). Volunteers also feed and care for the gentle farm animals (donkey, cow, goats, pigs, chickens). Please feed/pet the animals and support the CSS mission with your membership.

We have a large selection of diverse pools of water. We do not have a flat-bottomed rectangular blue enclosure with diving boards and painted bottoms. The Williamson County Park has several of those. Swimming is not permitted in our lakes and ponds

There are several ways to get wet in Big East Fork Valley. 1) Dipping areas within Big East Fork Creek 2) hot tubs 3) portable stock tanks, 150 gallon and 300 gallon 4) outdoor showers 5) creek walks 6) waterfalls (best after rains, trail hiking required)7) lodging showers and bathtub (Website hidden by Airbnb) boring) 8) exploring the Crack in the Creek ( Exciting! )

The hot tub at The Fork Inn is always available to registered guests by appointment. $50 set up fee. For those hankering for an authentic country experience, four 300 gallon mobile stock tank pools can be filled with spring water. Pools can be set up at any property (aaah the fun!) as well as at the Overlook or a private meadow clearing (aaah the romance!).

THE BASE PRICE IS FOR FOUR (4) PERSONS. There is a $30/person/night additional charge for the number of persons over four.

If you we are a good match for each other, we look forward to your stay with us!

Friends trip
My friends and I had a great time. The bedrooms were wonderful, the bathrooms, and kitchen was awesome! Even in the heat couldn’t keep us away from the beautiful backyard. The back deck was amazing. We did have lots of bugs so bring bugs spray! Also be aware of critters in the area and the house. We had to put all our food in the fridge. But we loved our time relaxing and had a great time.

This stay was honestly a place of healing for me. The nature surrounding you is awesome! The house was beautiful, clean, and so cozy. I really appreciate the owner checking in to make sure I had everything I needed and was enjoying my stay. Truly a hidden gem in the Franklin area. So glad I found it and will be back.
