Enjoy your own private beach, boat dock, oyster filled lagoon, and spectacular views of the Olympic Mountains, all framed in a different sunset every evening. With the lagoon, dock & beach in your backyard there are unlimited outdoor activities to experience without leaving your retreat. Where else can you relax all day on your own private beach or take a leisurely kayak ride around your island, and then grab some fresh live oysters, clams or mussels for dinner, from your own private lagoon and seafood farm? This is truly a seafood lover’s dream. We have spent so much time and effort making Sunset Lagoon a unique place to live our lives, we decided to make it available for others to enjoy as well. Now you too can enjoy what others only dream of in your own separate 1200 sq. ft. of secured downstairs living area, at the Sunset Lagoon Retreat and guest only Sea Food Farm, with your own private entry and covered deck. Our place is good for couples, solo adventurers, and families. Come experience what you have always dreamed about all year round at your own private island getaway. We are originally from California and would vacation on this wonderful island. We decided to move to this peaceful place and now have the opportunity to share our home with others. Dale grew up in the mountain areas of California and I grew up by the San Francisco bay, so Herron Island gave us the best of both. The views are spectacular and we are enjoying this beautiful state.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this property because of it's private beach on the Puget Sound, it's lagoon filled with live oysters, clams & mussels, the most beautiful sunsets ever, it's spectacular views of the Olympic mountains and the unique friendly wild life.
What makes this property unique
This island is unique because it is a private island. All residential. We have our own private ferry which takes us back and forth to the mainland. It is peaceful, tranquil and a lot of activities to do on the island. We have available to guests, kayaks, paddle board, paddle boat, and row boat. The deer are unique here on the island they will eat out of your hands.
