It was a good experience. The property manager was very helpful. We like the location because it was within a couple of miles of downtown and the things that we were doing..

We stayed for 5 nights. The size and location of property - close to all the hot spots- was perfect. I didn’t know much about the neighborhood before booking but was pleasantly surprised with the culture of the Tobin area. Took several walks throughout just to absorb the old world charm. The property had a huge closet - room that had lots of extra amenities. I would stay there again most definitely.

Victoria and her family were wonderful guests! Very polite.
We went to San Antonio to visit our daughter at college. This property was perfect for our needs. It was clean, comfortable, had parking, was walking distance to the college and to restaurants. The owner is friendly and helpful. We will definitely return on our future visits.
This home is extremely comfortable, the host was very friendly and accommodating, and the amenities provided made you feel at home. The only thing I could say is that the home is attached to the main house which was fine as there is still privacy we were just unaware upon arrival.

Yes, I have it posted in my listing that it’s attached to my house but no one stays up front. If you check under the desciption is clearly mentioned that it is attached.
I was very happy with the room. It was clean, stocked with most everything you could find yourself needing and in a great location. Check out was simple. Would definitely recommend!

Thank you Dalton for the awesome review! Please come back.
Very thoughtful Host, fantastic location: easy walk to restaurants and coffee shops, including the beautiful River Walk, and a short jaunt to The Pearl District. The space itself has more than enough room to spread out, everything you can think of for needs, and a bonus of a washer /dryer. We selected this place for its close proximity to family that live extremely close-by. We couldn’t have made a better choice as it was perfect.
We had a wonderful stay with Marilyn. The apartment fit us perfectly and gave us a quiet place to chill in what was a very hectic trip. It was nice to be away from the downtown area where it's quiet and relaxed, but still close enough to be there in minutes. The area around the apartment is full of newly renovated buildings and we found an amazing restaurant nearby that was safe for my wife, who has Celiac and is very sensitive to gluten. We had to move our trip back two weeks unexpectedly and Marilyn was really nice and accommodating about everything. I couldn't be happier with our choice to stay with her.

Comfortable space for 2 if you are just needing a place to sleep and clean up. Bathroom is on the small side and could use more space to hang up or place items. Would recommend supplying cutlery in the unit as well.
Marilyn was prompt and helpful in replying to all questions. Safe and pleasant neighbourhood, easy access to downtown and River Walk, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring San Antonio.

Thank you Patti for the review. Regarding a place to hang up clothes in the bathroom there are hooks for clothing.
Nice little quaint unit to visit friends. Neighborhood was quiet. Walkable to Nola’s for brunch. There was an issue with the mini fridge not being cleaned out from previous customer but that was minor issue.
All amenities were in working order.
The place is like a studio apartment. Quant and clean. Only has a shower ,no tub. Bed was comfortable. The renter provided just about everything. The drive way is tight . It was located close to the freeway and easy to find locations.

Thank you for the nice review. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay.
This is a very cute and comfortable property. Marilyn was welcoming and responsive. As other people have stated, there are properties in the neighborhood that are going through renovations, but you should not be discouraged. My wife and I walked every morning and were also able to walk to the Alamo and Riverwalk, if you don’t mind a 45 minute stroll. The Pearl is a little bit closer and there are a few local establishments that are definitely worth checking out.

About the host
Hosted by Marilyn Courchesne
I am a native San Antonian and have lived here most of my life but have lived in NYC, Boston, Colorado, Austin, and Houston, Tx. I'm a gypsy at heart but have settled in San Antonio and living in the same house I grew up in as a child. I enjoy traveling whenever I have the chance and have traveled to Thailand, Mexico, India, and Costa Rica. Presently I own my own Spa in my neighborhood and do massage and facials. Also, of course I have my Home Away business as well.
Why they chose this property
I inherited my home from my parents and happens to be the house I grew up as a child since I was 5 years old. I love my neighborhood , its restaurants, great access to downtown and highways, museums and parks. Its the type of neighborhood that people actually communicate early Sunday mornings outside over a cup of coffee and catch up with what is going on in the community and or local events. To me it has the feeling of a real neighborhood! In my spare time I enjoy walking at Brackenridge park and attending local concerts and events in my area.
What makes this property unique
My home is unique in the that no two homes on my street are alike. Homes were built in the 1920's and has the charm of a vibrant neighborhood.
