Villa Santa Ana is a gorgeous 4 bedroom, (3 full-size beds, one on 1st floor and 2 on 2nd floor, 2 beds on 2nd floor, twin size) , 2 story house, up to 8 can sleep for the same price (if you need 2 split payments, ask me please). The property is safely located as part of a familiar 3 house-condo, with 24/7 guardian. Fully furnished and equipped with new appliances, (2) 42" LCD TV with HD cable, over 200 channels, Netflix (Roku) access, CD/DVD player, home theater, refrigerator, gas stove, laundry machines (wash/dry), hot water, kitchen-cooking stuff, microwave oven, coffee maker, blender, silverware, stoneware, cups, glasses, cooking skillets, charcoal grill, outdoor furnished terrace with a big umbrella, chairs, round table, outdoor grill and great views of the 17th-century church and surrounding mountains. Also furnished living room, dining room, bar in chimney environment, wooden stairs to 2nd. floor, garden with lawn and flowers, safety 24 hr./7, parking (2 cars), includes basic daily housekeeping, water, power, for a month, week or night rentals; if your stay is of at least 7 nights you'll get a 25% discount as weekly rate. Santa Ana is within a 15 min. walk to Central Park (downtown) Antigua and is away from downtown noise and crowded streets. See map for approximate location. Google maps and directions will be sent for an easy arrival. Comfortable house, a real bargain for a large family of relatives, friends, school peers or business partners. I'm myself disabled and need to go on wheels. therefore, I have access to a bedroom and a full bathroom on the first floor. No parties or noise after 10 pm. No smoking inside, please! Check-in starting at 3 pm and check-out at 12m.

nice walk to downtown Antigua. Less busy ,quieter , neighborhood in Antigua when celebration of the 3 kings not being celebrated with fireworks and music concert.Great tortillas and beans across plaza, wonderful staff.

Perfect Villa

We had an amazing stay! The house was the perfect size for us. It was really nice to have a washer and dryer on hand. There was a soccer tournament in the square just in front of the villa which was a nice surprise! The property caretaker also went out of her way to help us find someone to help us jump our rental car when the battery died. Overall we really enjoyed everything.

Beautiful and inviting

Had a wonderful and memorable time in Antigua and truly felt at home in this beautiful villa. Very comfortable and private and the quiet village helped with relaxation but also liked watching the children play soccer. Enjoyed cooking and dining on the roof, bird watching which included hummingbirds and swallows and counted four varieties of bees visiting the beautiful flowers. The good weather helped to enjoy the roof top patio for sunning, smoking or just unwinding and enjoying life. May very well return in a few years.

Wonderful place to stay in the Antigua area.

We had a great time. Maria was always helpful and the kids had fun playing soccer in the plaza next door with the locals. Plenty of small tiendas around to get necessary supplies.

Sweet Swiss/Spanish Colonial Chalet

I can’t say enough good things about Ricardo, the owner, and Ana María, the caretaker. They are prompt, courteous, and caring. The home is quaint and quirky. The area is removed a bit from the central part of Antigua, but within a 10 minute drive depending on traffic. The bedroom downstairs can be a bit noisy during peak hours and the bathroom on the first floor is shared with your guests - not en suite. Parking is so easy and safe since you park inside the condominium. The church plaza and soccer field can be lively at night, so if you are a light sleeper, bring your earplugs. The whole area exudes country charm and peaceful relaxation. Overall very happy with our stay and Ricardo’s flexibility.

We'll Be Back!

Villa Santa Ana was the perfect size and location for a visit with our family in Guatemala. The house is very clean and nice, but also kid-friendly. Ana Maria was always available to help if we needed something. We loved all the activity in the square and the tiendas close by if we needed supplies. Super easy and enjoyable walk into Antigua, or easy to find a tuk tuk if you prefer. It took us a few days to realize there was filtered water in the house. It was nice to interact with the other guests in the house across the courtyard and the people in the neighborhood. We stayed for 8 days and we are thinking of a longer stay next summer.

Wonderful!

Ricardo's villa is such a great place, clean, comfortable, amazing views at the terrace, watched over 24/7 by Anna, gardian and housekeeper, with her cordial service. Santa Ana is South of Antigua, a 15 minute walk to Central Park, wonderful-historic related walk with comfortable beds, two complete bathrooms and anything you need to have a wonderful experience in Antigua. Santa Ana is quiet and a gorgeous place with its own Church (XVIth Century), near to El Calvario, and its fantastic alameda, Beatas, another wonderful complex (church, park, gardens). Ricardo is always answering to every quest and carefully aware of your needs. The price is unbeatable: I've checked other nearby places, even in other areas, and decided to stay here without a doubt. Highly recommended!

My disciplines have been related to philosophy and Latin American Literature, but for my graduate studies I received a PhD degree at Rice University (as Fulbright scholar), thus, I'm also an anthropologist. Have been on wheels for over 10 years due to MS, and have had incredible joyful times at my house in Antigua. That is why I want some other persons around the world to have the chance to enjoy my place the way I do.

Why they chose this property

The land was an inversion made by my granma back in 1950 or so, and my mom and my siblings decided to build three villas for enjoying the property but with some independence. That is why there are three villas and a common garden. The place (Santa Ana) is at the outskirt of Antigua, southbounds, and it is perfectly located since you can have a walking distance to Central Park, Antigua, and, at the same time, you can enjoy of a historic walk through wonderful areas of the Colonial City and yet be peacefully retreated away from noicy and crowded streets. A perfect retreat though! The property has a common out-to-the-street wooden door, opened only by our gardian who keeps the property watched 24/7, where only guests can enter for your safety.

What makes this property unique

The property is In front of the XVII Century Santa Ana Church, in a small, quiet traditional community with their cultural traditions and incredibly beautiful expressions, very close to the famous El Calvario Complex and their wonderful Alameda, and some steps away from Beatas de Belén wonderful park and complex. You can either take a walk down to Central Park Antigua or take a tuk tuk (moto taxi) back and forth, the way you feel better. You will feel wonderful at my place in Villas Santa Ana-Ricardo.
