Rustic on the outside, fully renovated on the inside, this farmhouse on an old 34 acre maple sugar farm is across the street from Mt. Ellen at Sugarbush and 2 1/2 miles from Lincoln Peak.
The space
Marble Farm offers a unique combination of quiet seclusion and easy access to Sugarbush and all the Mad River Valley has to offer.
Winter sport enthusiasts can easily get first tracks in the morning and relax in the outdoor hot tub in the afternoon.
Don't feel like driving? Grab the shuttle at the top of the drive during the the season.
The Catamount Trail -- great for hiking, snow shoeing (snow shoes provided), cross country skiing or mountain biking -- is just off the eastern side of the property.
The Sugarbush golf course is 5 miles away.
The proximity to all of that is great, but you might not want to leave once you step inside to discover a cozy well-appointed space with modern amenities the likes of which the the maple sugar farmers who built the place would not believe.
Cooks will enjoy a brand new Viking chef’s kitchen, fully stocked with everything the home cook could desire including new Le Creuset and All-Clad pots and pans.
Unwind in either of the two living spaces that feature brand new OLED smart TVs, Wi-Fi, and plenty of apres books and board games for all ages. There's also a new boot room with a boot dryer and ski racks.
Things to know:
There is a $50 hot tub cleaning fee included in the nightly rate.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Be aware of the local wildlife. This is a 34-acre piece of land in the middle of a wildlife corridor. If you are lucky, you could or see or hear coyotes, fisher cats, owls, etc.
If you are careless with food or garbage, you can attract bears. Be sure to lock your vehicle doors. Yes, some of the bears have figured out how to open car doors.
Guests are welcome to walk the property. Keep in mind this was a working farm in the recent past. Be aware of remnants like post holes, barbed wire and sugaring lines in the woods.
All outbuildings (sugar house, three-car garage, three empty barns, and trailer) are not guest accessible.
No dog(s) are welcome in this home. No other animals without specific approval.
