First our regulars: Coffee- drip w filter and single cup. Internet- great! Space for separation between subs and spouses - SO much space. Everybody wanted to hide in the loft room. Pets
Enjoyed the great location and house. Has an amazing lot on the canal with Kayaks and fishing. Nice bedrooms, comfortable beds, recently renovated bathrooms. Enjoyed use of the grill, outdoor seating and fire pit. Took several nice hikes in Manistee Forest and found a couple nice spots to eat. Bob has a great host and easy to communicate with.
My friends and I had an excellent time at this property. Bob has plenty of things to keep guests busy. Everything was as great as advertised, would highly recommend if looking for a quiet weekend getaway with friends and family!
The house was wonderful! Peaceful quiet neighborhood, access to kayaks and paddle boards, we rented the boat also and it was fantastic. The grounds were large the kids had lots of room for outdoor games and running around, fishing was amazing. My son in law caught his first fish ever! We absolutely loved this house.
Accommodations were comfortable for our family of 7. The teenagers enjoyed their own private sleeping area. We had everything we needed to make our trip complete.
Location of this cabin is nice and quiet! It’s a nice neighborhood and area of the lake was convenient. The extra space above the garage was nice for the preteens. Beds were overall comfy and bathrooms were nicely updated! It is a cabin so keep that in mind, as this is not a brand new, sparkling clean place. A nice power wash and deep clean would be nice but it didn’t affect our stay! The boat was a nice addition and we did use it to take a little ride around the lake.
What an amazing location and the space was perfect. Bob has this space set up to appease anyone - kayaks, paddle boards and so many games like cornhole and ladder ball. The temps in the summer are perfect too! The pontoon sealed the deal (a must add-on) as the lake is spacious and a lot of memories made. We will be back!
Thank you Bob for an amazing cottage. We were impressed with our stay. There were 8 adults in total and just enough room for all of us. We came during a mild time in the winter and were able to use the outside, upstairs loft. We played board games, ate, and went skiing at Caberfae only 20 minutes away. We would do it again in a heartbeat!
Spiders and Bees, Spiders and Bees, lots of spiders everywhere. Couldn't say how many spiders we killed. Bob was great to work with. Inside was nice and very comfortable. Beds were super comfy. The outside of the house could use a good power washing.
Amazing stay, very spacious and can accommodate A bunch of grown men on a yearly fishing trip, really enjoyed that it was on right on the canal and very comfortable patio furniture and awesome fireplace and the owner could answer any questions really fast through email and the best part was for a extra fee you could rent the pontoon boat he has to offer we will definitely book again next year for our annual fishing trip
Comfortable house which accommodated 3 kids and 4 adults nicely. The only issue we had was the cove above the garage. We couldn't get the room warm enough as the heater kept triggering the circuit breaker.
Only thing i would change is the couch. I prefer leather for cleanliness easier to wipe down in between guest. Over all zero complaints. Bob the first responded quickly and we all enjoyed our stay. Bathroom in the additional room would be a incredible but not much you can do
We had a great time here! Plenty of things to do. We enjoyed the ping pong table, kayaks and outdoor space. It’s not private but lots of nature and wild life. The furniture was comfortable, house was clean, beds were comfortable enough. There were spiders inside and out but it’s in the woods basically, it’s nature and they didn’t bother us. Total bonus being able to rent the pontoon. We cruised lake Mitchell and lake Cadillac. Definitely recommend and would rent again for sure.

Cabin on Lake Mitchell canel.
The inside of the cabin was nice. The outside of the cabin was a little dingy. It needed some cleaning and repair. We rented a pontoon boat from the owner one day during our stay, but the key to it was hidden and the owner could not be reached until the early afternoon and so we lost half of the days use of it. The grounds of the place were good and the parking was adequate.

Not bad. Over Priced for what it was.
The house needed a good power wash on the outside. Lots of spider webs. We believed this rental was way overpriced for what it was. We all agreed that if the pontoon boat was included it would have been worth it. But the charge of 600 dollars on top of the already paid rental was too much. Thank you for letting us enjoy your cabin, it was good to be with family
The house worked for our needs, but I probably would not stay there again. It was hot when we arrived, and though it has an AC window unit in the bathroom upstairs, it was pointless because the bedrooms stayed hot. Luckily there were box fans in the closets and ceiling fans. There were also A LOT of spiders in the house - it seemed as though it hadn’t been occupied in awhile. Overall the amount of space was nice and enjoyed having the backyard and water access.
