Located on 40th street, this gorgeous home is a short 4 blocks from the 36th street beach access and the world class Ocean Forest Golf Club. If you are golfing at Ocean Forest or attending an event there, this is the perfect rental for your group. Additionally, this house is a wonderful set up for people attending a wedding or event at Sea Island. Renting this house gives you access to Sea Island.

Upon entering the front door of the home, guests walk into a spacious foyer with parquet floors and arched entryways. Straight ahead is the gorgeous living room, which features lots of cozy and beautiful seating for the group to gather. This spacious living room also has a large, flatscreen TV and a card table in the corner for 2 people. The highlight of the room is the gorgeous marsh views.

Adjacent to the living room is the dining room, which has a beautiful glass dining table set for 8 people, but can accommodate 10 people. This gorgeous dining room is oriented to face the beautiful marsh view. The dining room is ideally located next to the oversized kitchen, making servicing the dining room a breeze.

The oversized kitchen is one of the highlights of this home. Featuring stunning limestone countertops, custom cabinets, an oversized built-in fridge and freezer, and gorgeous stone floors. The oversized island has two full-sized bar chairs. One of the highlights of this expansive kitchen is the vaulted, pecky cypress ceilings, coupled with lots of natural light, making the space feel both warm and grand. Ideally placed for entertaining, the wet bar is next to the screened porch, which has windows that can be opened to the bar on the patio side, making it easy to pass food and drinks inside and outside. The kitchen also includes a wooden dining table for 6 people. This space is rounded out with a gorgeous cocktail seating area with 4 cozy furniture chairs, cocktail tables, and a TV.

This custom, chef’s kitchen is a dream to cook in and is fully equipped for everything you need during your stay. The appliances are all brand new, state of the art, including the gas stove with 6 ranges, a separate griddle, and double ovens. Clean-up is easy with the double dishwashers by the main sink. This modern kitchen also includes a wine fridge and freestanding ice maker by the wet bar, along with 2 refrigerated drawers for drinks by the seating area.

The screened porch is a wonderful outdoor living space and has plenty of seating, a large flat screen TV, a bar with 2 full-sized bar chairs, and even a wooden dining table that seats 8 table. The proximity of the 3 dining tables makes it easy to seat a large group for dinner at the same time.

The back deck features multiple seating areas, including chaise lounges, Adirondack rocking chairs, a high-top table with 4 chairs, and lots of bench seating on the deck. If you enjoy grilling, there is a green egg on the deck. This gorgeous, new deck was built around the stunning oak trees. The dock features a gate that rolls open and closed, so you can keep it blocked off if you would like. There is bench seating at the end of the dock, which makes for the perfect spot to sit and have a cup of coffee in the morning, or watch the sunset with a drink in the evening. The stunning sunset over the marsh is one of the highlights of the home. The dock includes a lower floating dock that guests are welcome to use to launch a kayak, paddleboard or boat from.

Back inside the home, the first two bedrooms are on the hallway on the right wing of the home, just past the kitchen. The first bedroom has a stunning marsh view, and 2 twin beds, a cozy chair and ottoman, huge closet, and a ceiling fan. The painted pecky cypress walls create a unique, and peaceful coastal style for the room. This room does have a patio door that allows guests to access the deck on the lower right portion of the home. Parents can remove the key from these sliding doors if they don’t want children to be able to use it (as you can in all marsh front bedrooms that have patio doors). This bedroom features an en-suite bathroom with a beautiful marble shower and marble vanity.

The second bedroom is downstairs and features a gorgeous, king bed and an alcove that has a crib and sleeping pod around it. The closet is also in the alcove and has full length mirrors on the outside of the closet doors. This spacious bedroom has stunning marsh views, sliding doors that lead to the deck, and a ceiling fan. This bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a large marble shower, and beautiful vanity.

Across from the second bedroom is the entrance to the oversized laundry room. The laundry room features two sets of washers and dryers, and plenty of counter space to fold and sort laundry. The first floor is rounded out with a guest bathroom, that features a marble vanity, and is located on the main hallway, near the living room.

Down the hallway from the first two bedrooms is a side door, which features an electronic keypad for easy access to the home. The stairway leading to the second floor is adjacent to this. On the second floor, there is a cozy and fun bunkroom for children to the right, with 4 twin, built-in bunk beds, built-in stairs and gorgeous wood walls and ceilings. The room has a dresser, storage for toys and two comfy bean bags. This ideal kid’s room has an en-suite bathroom with a spacious, subway tile shower and vanity.

The fourth bedroom is on the second floor, across from the bunk room, overlooks the marsh, and has sliding doors that lead to the upstairs deck. The upstairs deck and downstairs deck are connected on the right wing via a spiral staircase, that comes out next to the screened patio. This spacious room includes vaulted ceilings, a king bed, ceiling fan, closet, and gorgeous furniture. The en-suite bathroom has a gorgeous marble shower and vanity.

The fifth bedroom is further down the hallway, and features a gorgeous, King Bed, stunning marsh views, and sliding doors that lead to the patio. This spacious bedroom has vaulted ceilings, a ceiling fan, and a closet with beautiful wood panel doors. The en-suite bathroom features a marble combination shower – tub (the only tub in the house), a marble vanity and lots of natural light due to the skylight.

The upstairs sunroom is one of the highlights of the home. With oversized windows on 3 out of 4 sides of the room, the panoramic marsh views of Sea Island and the Golden Isles are unparalleled. Set up to be a cozy gathering space, this room has plenty of seating, a flatscreen TV and a wet bar with a sink and mini fridge. This room is a fabulous spot to enjoy the sunset in the evening. To the left of the sunroom is a private balcony with 4 chairs, that is somewhat secluded from the rest of the property due.

Across the hallway that leads to the sunroom is a door that takes you to the covered walkway, leading you to the guest house. The 6th bedroom is very spacious with a king bed, and two day beds on either side of the room. The en-suite bathroom has a shower with a skylight and vanity. This room is a great set up for someone who many need more of a quiet space to work in as it is secluded from the rest of the house.

Guests do not have access to one of the bedrooms (that would be the 7th bedroom), which is to the left at the end of the hallway, upon entering the home. The space will be locked off, but renters have access to the 6 bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms, plus the half guest bathroom. Guests also do not have access to the garage, which will be locked off during their stay. There still is plenty of parking in between the circle driveway and the driveway that splits off to the right of the home.

With such a stunning backyard, you may find yourself wanting to spend most of your time at the house, but with the beach only a few blocks away, you can come and go as often as you would like. Sea Island is known for its seclusion and privacy, combined with their world-class service available at the 5-Star Cloister, Lodge and Spa. There are endless activities for the whole family at Sea Island, whether you go to the Fitness Center, Tennis Center, Beach Club, PGA-Tour Tournament Golf Courses, or the 5 miles of private beaches. The Cloister, Lodge, and Beach Club have several restaurants, shops and endless activities. Sea Island is the ideal vacation spot for families and friends alike.

The homeowner has a Sea Island Membership, thus Temporary Membership Cards can be arranged and purchased for renters, which grants them access to all Sea Island Amenities and gives them the ability to book activities, dining, spa, golf, etc with Sea Island. If the guest chooses to purchase temporary membership cards, the guest is charged the fees, as shown below:

Adults (26+): $175 per adult, per day
Children Under 26: $60 per child per day. Children are considered under 26 years old, not married, immediate children. (2 free children’s cards are provided per family, with the purchase of at least 1 adult card, per family that day.)

Children Under 7: are free (if an adult has purchased a card) and cannot have their own card.

Guests can pick and choose who in the group gets cards, and on what days. **Guests are required to purchase cards for consecutive days, no skipping dates in between (ie has to be the 6th - 8th, not the 6th and 8th.)** Please reach out if you have questions or want more information on how temp member cards work.
