About this property

Cozy 2nd Story Condo Overlooking Pioneer Park

Summary:

Located in the most perfect spot for exploring all of what Bend has to offer, up to two travelers can stay here on a king-size bed. This unit, part of the Pioneer Park Condominiums, features a full kitchen, two full bathrooms, and two balconies. You can also look forward to having complimentary WiFi and free parking. Come and check it out!

The Space:

Welcome to Unit 132/133 of the Pioneer Park Condos, or as we like to call it - "Interview With The Campfire". Just a short 10 minute walk to the heart of downtown and a two minute stroll to the Deschutes River and trails, this condo is the perfect place to stay if you want to spend time in downtown Bend on the Deschutes River. There is no better home base for exploring the outdoor playground known as Central Oregon.

One of the newest additions to our family of rentals, this condo is designed for comfort and convenience. The owners have thoughtfully stocked it with everything you need for an amazing getaway, from kitchen essentials to cozy decor that embodies the spirit of Bend. Enjoy local eateries or whip up a delicious meal in the well-appointed kitchen.

The condo is divided into two areas (hence the two unit numbers). Because they are close to the river and downtown, the Pioneer Park Condominiums were originally built in the late 1970s as a condominium hotel, or "condotel," until the HOA changed course decades ago to become a collection of private condos.

Guests love this place because of the amazing sleeping amenities with a king-size bed in the bedroom. Not to mention, two full bathrooms for your convenience and two balconies overlooking the complex's green space. You can also take advantage of the onsite laundry room and indoor bike storage, so you don’t have to carry your gear up the stairs after a day of exploring Bend’s extensive trail network. The owners have truly captured the essence of this beautiful region, and we believe you’ll feel right at home during your stay. Come and discover why this condo is beloved by guests—your unforgettable Bend adventure awaits!

Guest Access:

The studio comes with a unique code which will get you entry into your unit.

This is a 2nd floor unit, there are steps required to access the unit.

The Neighborhood:

132/133 Interview With The Campfire

Getting Around:

You are on the edge of downtown Bend, so once you get here you don't necessarily need to use your car. Everything you need is in walking distance.

Other Things to Note:

This is a studio in a shared complex, and it's worth noting that from time to time, you might hear everyday sounds coming from neighboring units and common areas within the facility.

The studio comes with a limited supply of complimentary coffee, sugar, and creamer.

Interaction with Guests:

Pioneer Park Rentals Rentals manages more than 15 privately owned riverfront condos. We have a rental office on the property that is open no less than 8 hours a day. We give you your space, but we’re available on-site if you need anything.

All was good except at 6am there was a knocking in the wall closest to the main bedroom...went on over an hour all 3 days. For this reason, we would not stay again.

A bit of a tight squeeze for us (family of 4 with two lanky tweens) but worked out fine. Easy access to river walk and 10 min walk to downtown. Clean and quiet.

The property is older than it looks in photos, but it was a nice condo.

Thank you for your feedback! You’re right, this property was originally built in the 70s, and while it has that classic character, we think it adds to the charm of staying here. Each condo is individually owned, and many have been completely remodeled, so the feel of each unit can vary. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in this one!

Not enough closet space. Had to remove the vacuum cleaner, the broom a ladder, put behind the door.

Loved the location.. We will stay there again but a different condo.

The location is defiantly unbeatable! We also have multiple units here on property and each is individually owned so the more you visit, the better chances you have of finding the that is made just for you! Until next time my friend!

Short business trip

Great location with access to river trail system to quickly get to downtown, Old Mill, or anywhere on West Side easily by walking (so many great brew pubs close)

You nailed it—location really is everything, and we’re so glad you took full advantage of the river trail system! Being able to stroll to downtown, the Old Mill, or the West Side (especially with all those awesome brew pubs nearby) is one of the best parts about staying here. There’s nothing like grabbing a pint after a scenic walk along the Deschutes. Thanks again for the great review, it sounds like you explored like a local!

Very nice property, highly recommend. Only hitch was getting in the door as the code I was given did not work. A quick call to the after hours line and she gave me a new code. Very responsive hosts. Very clean and nice location

No code was given for access until requesting it. Upon arrival (we arrived at 3:20, so yes we were a while 40 min early). There was no water to the unit. When we inquired about it we were told by the front desk “well you technically are supposed to be here yet” and we need to give them at least an hour before she could do anything about it Being a Friday night concerned we have already paid and we’re 3 hours from home, a dinner reservation at 5. What were we to do - Around 4:15-4:20 we returned to the front desk as were told it’s potentially going to be a problem through the night and possibly through the weekend. (Water leak under the building). We were then told “SORRY” but we are sold out. At which time I told here well I found a studio unit on your website #300 right before coming back to the office. Well somehow …. We are now in luck and she can move us. I asked my things we still in the room- Are you sure the code will be the same so I can get in to retrieve them. After training backup the stairs NOPE - No longer access to the unit. Back to the office, back to the unit to retrieve my items and “than goodness” back to the new room. We were satisfied with the room, the view, the location. Coffee was provided with an in unit coffee pot but no coffee mugs. This was my 2nd visit to the location - I would stay again.

Nice, with asterisks

The unit was clean and updated, but be aware that there is no dishwasher (!) and virtually no place to hang up clothing. Also the "fold down" bed in the living area is permanently open, so unless you need that extra bed, you might want to choose a different unit. It takes up a lot of space (and I have several bruises from bumping into it as I tried to walk to the couch). We have family in Bend, and this is one of our favorite places to stay, but I will choose a unit with a dishwasher next time!

Thank you for the review Katharine! This unit has indeed been updated but you are right, the is no dishwasher. Luckily, we do not list this as an amenity for our guests when booking. Also, we do want it noted to all of our incoming guests that the Murphy bed does indeed fold up and down! It is not permanently stuck in place and if you happen to need a hand, we have onsite staff daily from 10am-7pm daily ready and happy to help. :)
