A beautiful cabin set in the woods outside of Durango. Every morning we saw an abundance of wildlife. The kitchen had ample equipment and we were extremely comfortable staying in the paradise cabin.
The property managers were great to work with! Our stay was incredible, lots of wildlife in the backyard. One thing I would note for the time of year, there is no A/C (which is normal for the area) but it got quite hot even with the mountain A/C (open windows) at night! There are some updates currently being made to outside of the home, we can’t wait to stay again when the outdoor space is finished!
This was a really nice home in a very scenic area. Lots of wildlife to look at while sitting on the deck in the mornings. Saw several mule deer that came pretty close to check us out, a coyote with a pup, lots of birds and chipmunks. Very nice kitchen. Several dishes I pulled out to use were dirty and some of the pans were covered in grease- it's unfortunate when some guests do not want to clean up after themselves. The basement area/game room was really nice with a big tv, sofa, games and a ping pong table- my 18 and 24 year old kids preferred it down there. It did seem like the property was still under some development as there was lumber laying around, and large piles of gravel and dirt. The house does not have A/C of any kind and was very hot inside when we got there-I guess maybe no one stayed the night before us- After the sun goes down if you open the windows with screens and turn the fans on, it cools down pretty nice and will stay cool the next day. We enjoyed our stay at this lovely home and would definitely stay again.

Beautiful property with great wildlife, but needs a few updatesWe enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, well-equipped home! My family loved seeing the deer, rabbits, and numerous hummingbirds. The fire pit was a massive hit, and we spent a lot of time gathered around it. Overall, we would stay here again. However, a few areas need attention to maximize the experience:Amenities & Communication: There were no instructions for the fire pit. We messaged the host at 8:00 PM for help but didn't get a response until the next day, causing us to miss out on one of our planned campfire nights. Additionally, only one burner on the outdoor stovetop would stay lit at a time.Cooling & Screens: The house gets very hot. The host recommends using "mountain AC" (opening windows in the morning and evening), but only four windows had screens. Opening unscreened windows in the wilderness is a safety and bug hazard.Cleanliness: There were many very large spiderwebs in the windows. While bugs happen in nature, these looked like they hadn't been cleaned in a long time.We had a great trip, but we highly suggest the host add clear user instructions for amenities and invest in a deep clean.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed the property. We have added instructions for the fire pit and other amenities to help make things easier for future guests. We’re also looking into the window screens. We appreciate you bringing these items to our attention and are glad to hear you had a great overall stay and would consider returning.
