October 2016 Stay

This is a wonderful home, great location within walking distance of shops and restaurants. The view atop the crows nest is superb, with all of Silver Lake and a glimpse of Atlantic Ocean and Teach's hole. Great place for sunrise and sunset. Admiral's retreat is well maintained, with well supplied kitchen for cooking just about anything . The only item not supplied is a barbecue grill.

Nice house, good location

The house was very nice with great views of the lighthouse and island from upper decks. There were lots of stairs up two floors to the kitchen and more to the upper deck. The kitchen was well equipped with good working space and storage. The open concept kitchen-dining-living area was nicely decorated, bright and had lots of windows. Because I rented through vrbo, I had difficulty getting instructions prior to arriving. I finally got information from Ocracoke Realty who actually manages the property. I would recommend renting this house directly from Ocracoke Realty and skip vrbo.
