This house was great! Roomy, clean, great view of the Nubble lighthouse from the 2nd floor deck (and a quick walk from the house). We were in town for a wedding, so we didn’t get to take full advantage of all the amenities this place had to offer (game room, fully stocked kitchen). If we ever visit Maine again, I would definately stay here!

Great location!!

We stayed for a long weekend with extended family. Plenty of space to spread out with gorgeous views of the lighthouse.

Great Stay for a Family Reunion

The property was even better than the listing pictures! We had a great time in the beautiful area. Plenty of space for the whole family and the kids really enjoyed the game room. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the York area.

Great stay at nubble!

Visited York Beach August 2023 with 12 family members, ages 11 to 83. Location was great, stones throw from Dunne’s ice cream and nubble lighthouse. Bit of a walk to short sands and long sands, but we needed the exercise. Great view, well stocked kitchen, lots of seating. Great stay!

Great place for a family trip!

This property was perfect for what we needed. It had plenty of space for our multi family stay. The location could not have been better. We watched the sunrise at the light house and walked down to long sands beach. The house was warm and inviting and the kitchen was great for cooking up our family meals.

Location & View: Fabulous!

We had an awesome time with the family celebrating our Mother’s 90th Birthday! She loved the location & views! The house was spacious & well equipped. We were able to walk to the lighthouse, beaches & restaurants within 10-25 minutes—excellent location!

Amazing View of the Nubble Lighthouse

Great place! Brand new floors and kitchen was all upgraded. Large living room area. Balconies off the bedrooms had so much seating! Walking distance (5 minutes) to the lighthouse. Very clean! Would definitely stay again!

Lovely time in York

This rental was great in so many ways. Plenty of room for entire family (10 of us, all adults) to eat together, sit together later at night and watch movies. Just far enough off main road so that walking dogs was safe & easy. Plenty of parking. Very well appointed kitchen and 2 refrigerators. And great decks!!!

Great Maine vacation!

The location was amazing and so nice to have Fox’s and Dunne’s within a 1 minute walk away. The house was great for a multi family vacation, plenty of space for everyone and the views were spectacular. Heidi & Jenna from management company were really great and super responsive with a few issues that came up during our stay. My only issue was the cleaning company did not do a great job cleaning this property before we got there (was old food in a clothing dresser, floors were dirty and a few other things) but once that was taken care of we had a wonderful stay.

The house is beautiful. Location was perfect, view of the ocean and Nubble light house.

Was perfect for 8 ladies to relax and enjoy time together. Plenty of room for everyone to be together and yet areas to sit alone to read or to sit and have quiet conversations with someone. Beds were comfortable and 2 large bathrooms upstairs to accommodate the 4 bedrooms. Beautiful views from 2 of the bedrooms of the light house. Nice large kitchen to cook and gather. Close short drive to Long Sands or Short Sands for beach time, food and gift shops. Overall an A + rating!

Great spot!

We stayed here for Christmas and it was perfect. Plenty of room for the 6 kids, the game room was a great escape for the kids. Open kitchen made it easy for cooking and to still be able to chat and see everyone. We lost power due to a bad storm but there was a generator that automatically came on which was perfect. Also being able to see the nubble lit up for Christmas from the house was a special touch. Would recommend!

Awesome

This house was perfect for a family gathering. We had multi generational family and the layout was perfect. The kids loved the game room in the basement and the views of the lighthouse and ocean were amazing. The kitchen was fully stocked with all of the dishes and appliances we would need. We even had large lobster pots to cook amazing lobster. The owners thought of everything I would highly recommend this house for a family get away.

Great place for a family reunion

We loved our stay here, and contrary to a previous post, this is a great cook's kitchen!! Each family took a night to cook and we enjoyed gourmet meals every night except for the night we walked to Fox's for a delicious lobster dinner. And the fact that Dunnes was a block away meant we had ice cream after dinner every night. The game room was a hit for both kids and adults. We could go to the beach every day. We could not have asked for a better place to stay!! May be back soon!!!

Perfect

The property was great exactly as described. This was perfect for our large group. Two families with young adults and teenagers. Clean, comfortable and neat but not to the point you are afraid to use the house as intended. Great large kitchen with enough space and amenities for a large group (we had 5-7 people cooking on any given night). Perfect basement set up for those young adults who really like to stay up late. Would certainly book again.

Perfect vacation home

Perfect home for the extended family. We had more than enough space and were not crowding one another. The morning and evening views on the upper deck were spectacular. So many places to sit and read a good book. Enough room for watching a movie, playing board games, and just spending quality time with the family. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds were comfortable. The one time we had to call the property manager, they were courteous and able to fix the minor problem. I would go back and again and hope that if you go, you enjoy your stay.

Fantastic location, great space, beautiful views of lighthouse and the rocky Maine shore

We stayed here with 14 members of our family, ages 2-84. Our favorite places in the house were the enclosed porch and the upper and lower decks that faced the lighthouse. We walked to Dunne's ice cream, Fox's restaurant, and the Nubble lighthouse several times during our week. We also walked to Short Sands beach. The sand buckets and shovels were enough to keep the 2 year old very happy. The older kids loved playing ping-pong in the basement. The bedrooms all had comfortable beds. The only caveats we had were that (1) there is no air conditioning in the house and the upper floor and bunk room in particular was very warm when the weather is hot (we had unusually warm weather for Maine in August), (2) some windows did not have screens or had large holes in the screens so we had to decide between being eaten by bugs or being very warm, and (3) the kitchen is NOT a full cook's kitchen, so unless you ONLY want to make coffee and boil lobsters, steamers and corn, cooking is a bit of a challenge. Overall, it was a nice place to stay in a beautiful part of the world.

Promising house but it needs a lot of attention

This home is in a great area as it is walking distance to the shore, lighthouse, beaches and town. It was large enough for our group of 12 with plenty of rooms to sleep and spread out. Unfortunately, this home has been neglected for a while. It needs a deep cleaning and updating. There were holes in screens (no air conditioning), a broken fan, dirty/stained rugs that need to be thrown out, a bedroom with an animal urine smell, stained tablecloths, and a musty smelling basement. The cushions on the outdoor furniture were stained and unpleasant to use. Landscaping has been neglected and there are weed all around the front door and starting to work their way into a screen in front. Our call to management regarding no hot water was responded to quickly. The pictures do not reflect how large this house is. The kitchen has been remodeled since the photo but the carpeting was not new aside from the carpet going up the steps. We would not stay there again.

RENTERS BEWARE

Here are the positives: 1. The kitchen was stocked with everything you might need, including small appliances (you will have to clean them before use). 2. There was ping pong, billiards and air hockey in the basement, plenty of board games and lots of videos to watch plus a bookshelf filled with books of various genres. 3. There were lots of night lights for the bathrooms and the halls. Now the negatives: This VRBO was the worst maintained and the most expensive we have stayed in. We have been coming to this area for 10 years now. 1. The description said the house had AC – it did not. I do not call a window unit in 1 bedroom upstairs, a stand-alone in another bedroom when there were 4 bedrooms and a stand-alone unit downstairs to be ac. We were hot, hot, hot sleeping! 2. The stand-alone unit in the bedroom overflowed and had to be mopped up. Huge mess. 3. There were fans in the hall upstairs that were broken and could not be used. 5. There was a TV upstairs in one of the bedrooms but no devices to use it. 6. The house needed a thorough cleaning. There were dead bugs and dust on lots of surfaces. 7. The washing machine was unbelievable dirty, and the dryer had enough lint in the catcher to start a small fire. 8. We sat outside on the chairs and the cushions provided no cushion. We could feel the rungs of the seats. 9. The pictures of the rooms are deceiving. They must have been taken 5 or more years ago. The living room furniture was dirty and needed

Wonderful home

We just got back from a full week in this wonderful home. Six adults two children and dog The house had just about everything you could want. We knew going in that walk to the beach was quite long but we all enjoyed taking the trek throughout the week. Daughter would push her infant in the stroller so he could fall asleep. Son-in-law would take bike and come down to the beach. We would ferry the heavy stuff in the car and drive back up. Over 60 and took it as fun exercise. We even walked to town to go shopping and then back up the hill. The house itself was huge very clean when we came in especially for being pet friendly. Bedrooms so large and have plenty of room to spread out in and unpack things. Having three bathrooms, Large ones was wonderful. The floors have been recently redone and the kitchen and master bath.Having the linens and towels and having a laundry was great with a big family. We used everything we could. Cooked a huge lobster dinner. And had everything there that we needed. The only minor thing to mention is the beach chairs were not usable. We brought a few and borrowed a few so it wasn’t an issue. And the umbrella broken and had no pole but again we had ours we just would have used the extra if we could have. I’d never rely on those items because ppl abuse that stuff all season I’m sure. Street was quiet! So nice and view from Master can’t be beat. You can see the nubble and Watch the sun rise in the morning. Did I mention the porches? There were so many ways to get some away time if you wanted it. Sunporch off the front of the house where I read a book from one of the rooms one night, upper deck of the master bedroom and another room. Enclosed porch of the first floor and another outside one to eat at all with plenty of seating. Games and movies. What more could you ask for ?! I’m renting again! It’s a perfect house for a family vacation. There was only one tv in the house not an issue as we aren’t tv watchers on vac but if the grandkids wanted to watch their shows there wasn’t another one to send them to. Not sure if they are working on that as it seems they are doing numerous upgrades to the house. Property manager was very responsive when I called her. We had a great time. Thank you for sharing his house.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house and appreciated the largeness of the space. We were able to enjoy a lovely week with family! We only noticed that the floors were not cleaned before we arrived, but otherwise everything was great!

Large family house on the Nubble

The house itself was large & spacious enough for our group of 13 and able to host extra family visitors for dinners. Great view of the Nubble Lighthouse, plenty of porches for people to hang out. Short walk to the lighthouse, Dunne’s ice cream and the View Point. A bit far to walk to beaches but golf cart transportation rides are available for an inexpensive fee. The game room was fun for the group however, the basement where it is located was a bit musty even with the dehumidifier running. Much smaller in person than seems in the pictures. We ended up purchasing our own bath towels as the ones provided were not to our liking and there did not seem to be enough of them. Plenty of kitchenware for cooking. 2nd fridge in garage came in handy. Appreciate the fact that the house is dog friendly but there was a lot of dog hair leftover from previous guests on certain furnitures. The couches in the main living room did seem to be new and were very comfortable. The 2 porches that are not screened in needed a good cleaning. We also wished there were more trash receptacles or some sort of an outdoor bin to store bags of trash. The landscaping was a bit overgrown and could use some attention. There was plenty of air conditioning provided however, we discovered bugs getting in and had to tape around some of the units. Overall we had a great time but would not rent this home again due to location being too far from the beaches to walk and overall cleanliness.

Great location!

The house is nice with ample room for everyone. Lots of games in the basement for rainy days, walking distance to the lighthouse and two ice cream places.
