Beech Mountain (30 minutes away) and Sugar Mountain (13 minutes away) offer winter skiing, ice skating, and summer golf and mountain biking, ensuring fun in every season. For family-friendly activities, Appalachian Ski Mountain and Tweetsie Railroad are both around 15 miles from the cabin. *Allows pets with an additional fee.
Step inside Silver Rock Cabin, where rustic charm meets modern comfort in a bright, open living space. Vaulted ceilings with exposed beams and floor-to-ceiling wood accents create a warm, inviting cabin atmosphere. In the main living area, comfortable seating surrounds a stacked-stone, wood-burning fireplace and a mounted big-screen TV, making it the perfect spot to unwind. This space flows seamlessly into the dining area and fully equipped kitchen, ideal for gathering. Large French doors open onto the back deck, enhancing the true sense of indoor/outdoor mountain living. Step outside to two main-level covered decks, where you'll find ample seating and dining spaces, relaxing rocking chairs, a Weber gas grill, a gas fire table for cozy evenings (or early morning coffee), and a welcoming porch swing. The back deck overlooks a spacious, gently sloping yard, a community pond, old-growth trees, and several car-sized boulders—including the striking 'silver rock' landmark.
On the lower den level, you can enjoy a pool table and a comfortable sitting area with another 55" TV, along with direct access to an additional outdoor living space—the full-stone patio. Here, you'll find true relaxation in a 6-person hot tub, a lounge area with comfortable chaises, and a sitting wall perfect for catching up with friends and family. Just below the patio, a wood-burning chiminea surrounded by six Adirondack chairs and two side tables creates a lovely atmosphere for evenings under the stars.
With flexible sleeping arrangements, Silver Rock Cabin comfortably accommodates up to 10 guests. The cabin features three well-appointed bedrooms, including a main-floor Queen bedroom with a custom four-poster wood bed. Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms—one with a Queen bed and the other with a Double bed—that share a Jack-and-Jill bathroom. Each bedroom showcases its own custom animal-themed artwork, so you'll have to pick a favorite! For added flexibility, both the main-floor and den sofas convert into Queen sleepers with gel memory foam mattresses, making it easy to host families or groups with diverse needs. There are full bathrooms on all three floors, with two having tubs for added convenience.
For your comfort, matching linens and towels are meticulously laundered offsite to ensure a fresh, hotel-like experience. Separate towels are also provided for hot tub use, so you can relax and enjoy the outdoor amenities worry-free.
Additional amenities include EV charging (NEMA 14-50 plug near the parking area), central heating and air conditioning, a washer and dryer, cable TV, and gigabit Wi-Fi, ensuring high-speed internet for work, streaming, or staying connected throughout your stay. Two dogs are welcome, with an additional pet fee, so you can bring along your furry friends. During the winter months (October–March), we strongly recommend 4-wheel drive or AWD; chains may be necessary during snowy or icy conditions.
The gravel parking area accommodates two to three cars, with a broad, five-step walkway leading down to the covered front entry. Please note that a camera monitors the front entry.
Experience the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort at Silver Rock Cabin, where every season invites you to relax, reconnect, and create unforgettable mountain memories.

Nice location close to Sugar Mountain and not too far from Beech Mountain for a little skiing and snow boarding with the family.

Everything about this cabin was fantastic. It was really beautiful and spotless when we arrived. The hot tub is large and crystal clear. Location is very close to Hawksnest for tubing. Please note, they only had a Keurig, no coffee pot which is something we were not aware of.

We are grateful for your feedback. Our staff is thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the home and we look forward to welcoming you back to our home soon.
We loved the location. It was super close to everything we wanted to visit. Love the neighborhood the kids loved the rocks and the hot tub. Very quiet Enjoyed being able to do a fire. The grill was nice. We did a lot of cooking. The downstairs basement was perfect for the kids . The covered porch in the back is very nice, but was not cleaned off. Would be nice to have more chairs on the front porch.
Nice location and beautiful lot of land. It was nice to be in the hot tub and watch the deer. It was pretty cluttered with lots of Knick knacks and cast off furniture and dishes. We found some dirty dishes in the cupboard and a few pillows that looked like they may have been eaten by mice. Broken chair back at the dining room table. Empty boxes on the bookshelf by the dining room table. There was a dead mouse in the birdhouse by the front door. Totally understand this happens in the woods but it just needs to be cleaned out regularly. It just felt like we were staying in someone’s home who left for a few days as opposed to a rental.
