Thank you for taking time to share your experience. You definitely nailed my definition of value. Privacy, open space & hiking Northern California Coast.
We had an amazing time here. The property and views are the perfect way to enjoy the location and it’s perfectly situated to visit Carmel, Monterey, and BiG Sur. We rested well and needed nothing except groceries while here. Everything was carefully considered and appointed. Thank you for the hospitality!

This speaks volumes. Thank you for your kind words and taking the time to share your experience. Warm regards.
What a find! I would call this property a rustic adobe tiled structure with super nice bougie touches including high end kitchen and bath remodels. The functional fireplace (with abundant wood and pre set-up in fireplace by owner!) was awesome on a day we needed to rest up in the middle of a vigorous trip 18 day tripHowever the star of this show by far is the view of Carmel Bay and the coastal range mountaintop the property sits on (both day and night views are breathtaking!). Outdoor furniture (including wood table) comfortable. 15 min to Ocean Ave. in Carmel BTS and 20-25 to Monterey Aquarium/Fishermans Wharf makes this property super convenient while still enjoying a very private mountaintop location! I should also mention that both beds were very comfortable. Lou's communication was perfect. My wife and I feel lucky to have found this awesome property. Thx Lou!

This is a magical place in all aspects. The view was incredible and the house had everything we needed. We were content staying at the property all day but it’s also close yo so many beautiful sites…point lobos, Garrapata, Carmel, etc…. I will definitely be staying again. Thank you for an unforgettable weekend stay!

Would stay again! Amazing and beautiful location with stunning views, close to everything but private enough to have your own space. Very lovely house.
A beautiful home to stay in, in all weather, set in extraordinary landscape of sea forests and wildlife . We had a wonderful family Christmas , great cooking , open fires in the evenings and walks along the coastal paths and beaches.
House was very nice with a wonderful cooks kitchen but the main stars were the incredible views and the absolute peace and quiet. We would definitely book this property again!
A unique property: Private, quiet, (with a variety of singing birds) capped off with stunning 180 views of the valley and the ocean. Fog tides roll in and out in a beautiful rhythm. It is also convenient to groceries, dining out and local parks/hiking. It was clean and ready for our arrival and we enjoyed disconnecting from everyday reality. Washer and dryer work great, so you can pack light. If you are intimidated by driving on a tight road with a significant change in elevation (in almost whiteout fog), then time your visit and activities accordingly. We chose not to drive in and out after dark on the heavy fog days. If you are going to Point Lobos, go early because of limited parking - it's worth the visit. The drive to Big Sur was as amazing as always. Location, location, location...

We had a wonderful two week stay at this secluded Adobe cottage in the hills overlooking Carmel. The weather was cold at the beginning, so we enjoyed reading by the warmth of the LR fire which burned real wood amply provided. Once the clouds parted the temperatures rose into the 60s and we enjoyed morning gourmet coffee overlooking breathtaking views of mountains and sea. Lou was very responsive to our every need and his cleaning lady sweetly allowed us a grace period the day we packed up to leave. A unique & very special hideaway.
It was a well appointed home. It had everything we needed. The views were amazing. Our dog enjoyed the house as well. And Lou was a very responsive host. The process of checking in and out was easy. We will be back.
