The Snuggery: Light, new studio in charming Chapel Hill

Escape to this delightful studio in picturesque Chapel Hill in a leafy part of town within walking distance to UNC. This cozy retreat is designed by the owner to make everything about your stay comfortable -- from lovely linens and towels to a fully stocked kitchen to comfortable seating and a work space. The Snuggery features 1 queen bed in the sleeping area and a comfortable futon in the nook off the living room. Guests can relax in two outside areas to enjoy morning coffee or afternoon beverages or to take advantage of walking trails close by. The space is fresh and quiet, with a large bathroom, washer and dryer, and all the amenities to make your stay a happy one.
A queen bed, the futon, and an air mattress can sleep 5-6. Please indicate in your reservation how many beds you require. There is a $25 per bed linen fee for extra beds (futon and/or queen air mattress). This is a studio but sleeping areas are separated with curtains. It's very quiet.

The Snuggery is a new, light, cozy lower-level apartment in an historic area in Chapel Hill with a separate entrance and its own charming outside space. Newly renovated, all amenities are new in 2023. It’s perfect for a family where kids or teens can sleep in the nook while the family gathers in the main area. Walk to the Botanical Gardens or UNC. Play basketball in the driveway or with the variety of games. Enjoy the quiet, lush neighborhood. There is covered parking for one car.

This is a quiet neighborhood so we have quiet hours from 10 pm -8 am outside and similarly inside.

This is a lovely little getaway. It was just the right size for my daughter and I to stay while she moved back into college. It is about 10 minutes easy drive from UNC. The listing is very thoughtfully stocked with odds and ends you might need. The host was lovely and extremely easy to communicate with when we had any questions. I highly recommend this cozy spot.

We our family really enjoyed our stay at the Snuggery. The location was quiet, yet close to downtown Chapel Hill. The apartment matched and exceeded the online description. It was very clean and roomy- perfect for a small family, couple or traveling business person. The bed was comfortable, HVAC worked well and there was plenty of hot water. We did not use the kitchen, but it was stocked to enable simple meal prep. Communication with the owner was excellent. We look forward to staying here the next time we visit Chapel Hill!

The Snugglery was exactly as described with privacy, a full kitchen including an air fryer, and Jeanne is an A-plus hostess. Jossie is the house cat that you can't help but love as you walk to your studio. The kitchen could use a garbage disposal but other than that, it has everything you need and is close to UNC.

Wonderful stay at the Snuggery!

We had a wonderful stay for almost a week. The apartment is clean and well equipped for a stay with family. Our host was amazing and extremely helpful. The location is in a nice neighborhood close to everything. Can wholeheartedly recommend the Snuggery for anyone visiting the Chapel Hill area.

Cozy studio close to UNC

The Snuggery is a cozy studio with all the amenities you would need for an extended stay. The property is very close to UNC and downtown Chapel Hill. I highly recommend checking out the nearby Elephant Rock Trail. Jeanne is a wonderful host and I will definitely stay here next time I’m in the area.

Love, love, love the Snuggery

While I only stayed one night, I fell in love with the Snuggery and the King’s Mill neighborhood. Jeanne is a gracious and thoughtful host and has really thought of everything. This place was spotless, well-appoined, and so comfortable. What surprised me were the beautiful hardwood floors and the expansive bathroom. I totally enjoyed my stay and hope to be back and have the opportunity to explore Morgan Creek and the Elephant Rock Trail which are just a short walk away.

Lovely in every way! This is a cozy space with every amenity you need for a short or extended stay. My daughter and I had plenty of room and found the queen bed to be exceptionally comfortable. We were able to do laundry, cook meals and watch tv. This is a very convenient location with easy access to UNC and surrounding areas. I enjoyed a nice walk around the King's Mill neighborhood which was so serene and beautiful.The host is absolutely wonderful! We enjoyed getting to know her during our stay. She was quick to respond and was incredibly helpful with any questions we had. Will stay here again and again!

Why they chose this property

Our neighborhood is a unique little corner of our town. We're located on a circle so there are no cars except the neighbors' passing through so it's very quiet here. We abut the Botanical Gardens so we have lovely walks through the forest and down to the creek. It's a lush, established neighborhood that is only a mile from UNC but you'd never know it as it's so quiet and forested.

What makes this property unique

Our home is on lovely piece of property that affords our guests a little patio with a view of the yard and a quiet haven for relaxing. Inside, the 500 square foot space has a living area, sleeping area, full kitchen, large bathroom, and a reading/TV nook where your children can watch old DVD's and sleep in the "Harry Potter space" under the stairs. It's a clean, bright, and charming space for our guests.
