This house is in a terrible and crime ridden area. Inside it has been turned into a rental, but the area surrounding the home is, according to the police I spoke with, prone to robberies and frequent crime. The listing shows outside areas for playing cornhole/patio- see photos. It was subpar clean, the counter was falling off the wall, and the only nice part was the shower head. The fridge isn’t hooked up to water, the beds had only been partially made (mattress covers were in bags stuffed under the beds) and there weren’t enough towels. The bathroom vanity door comes off when you open it, and there was grimy floors and moldy cushions. The couch had human fluids on the cushion. The door lock doesn’t work all the time and after the first call, the owner stopped responding. The neighborhood has frequent shootings and scary homeless people walking at night.
The property is located in a less than desirable neighborhood, and we didn’t feel very safe. The vegetation in the yard was overgrown. There were 4 trash cans that were full right by the parking area in the yard. There was no easy access to the patio in the back of the house that was pictured, which were wouldn’t have used anyway because of the neighborhood. The kitchen was very limited on cooking supplies, and the pots and pans they did have were scratched up. There was no dishwasher and no dishwashing soap to even hand wash the dishes….but they had dishwasher pods?We had to contact the manager to get the access code and didn’t receive it until 30 minutes after check-in time. The positives were that the beds were comfortable and the washer and dryer were convenient so we didn’t have to take home dirty clothes. We feel like we overpaid for the accommodations we received. Not a great experience.
