About the host
Hosted by Brian Torke

I am a Colorado native born and raised in Denver. We have had this cabin the family for almost 40 years now. We are so lucky to have one the most unique properties in this area and it is a true blessing to open its doors to travelers from far and wide. We have been hosting people from all over the world for the last 3 decades. It is such a joy to share this beautiful property with new people that get to all have there own unique experiences while they're here.
Why they chose this property
My parent stumbled onto this property during a family camping trip back in the early 80's. The fell in love with the property first, primarily the pond and creek in the front yard was a huge draw. Next the location being only an hour away from Denver was to great of an opportunity to pass up. Being located in the national forrest with dozens of serious hiking trails just right outside is amazing. Wether you enjoy grilling outdoors, fishing for brook trout, or just watching wildlife and relaxing. This is the place. We now have the coolest neighbors that are all taking great care of there properties are great to have get togethers with.
What makes this property unique
I love working outside on the property! I am always going through to make sure we have a clean and well maintained plot. I take fire mitigation seriously and keep a very safe, beautiful and manicured acre. The grass is mowed and trimmed to provide an awesome place for the whole family to enjoy. We have a nice sized pond and creek that run right through the property. Plenty of unique locations throughout the property to pull up a chair and relax. Dozens of if different bird species love to visit our place. We strive to always have feeders stocked with corn, suit and grain. We have a huge gathering of humming birds due to multiple feeding locations. Recently we have renovated a large portion of our landscaping and out door lighting to maximize enjoyability. We always get compliments that we have the coolest property from renters, neighbors and people just passing by. Outside our gate you will find endless trails and enough outdoor adnventures to last a lifetime. Our valley is filled with vast wildlife and ever-changing landscapes and treasures to be discovered! Picture a place where deers are grazing in the meadow, the occasional moose walks down the road and the eagles soar above.
