This ocean-side 1-bedroom 1-bath condominium nestles against the sand dunes on Del Monte beach in Monterey. From your living room and wraparound deck, enjoy a panorama of pelicans, otters, dolphins and vast shoreline views wrapping around the bay.

Sanctuary in the Dunes is a 880 square feet, end unit condominium located in the Ocean Harbor House complex on Del Monte Beach in Monterey. Within 5 minutes by car, you're at Monterey's Old Fisherman's Wharf, great restaurants, the Monterey Bay Aquarium, downtown Monterey, shops and nightlife that includes live music. Travel Highway 1 to Carmel-by-the-Sea, Pebble Beach® and Pacific Grove -- all only 15 minutes away. Highway 1 is also the route to Big Sur -- just 45 minutes away and one of the most scenic drives in the world.

If you're in the mood to walk, follow the nearby footpath nearby called the Regional Beach Trail that connects the entire Monterey Peninsula, over 15 miles from Pacific Grove to the Marina. If you ever had the slightest desire to take a 10+mile walk, let this be the one.

At night, look to the southwest as the harbor dresses for evening in a million twinkling lights. Then look to the northeast, where your senses are soothed by ocean sounds and saltwater smells. Walking on the beach at dusk will be one of the most memorable experiences of your visit. This single-story corner unit's closest neighbor is sand and surf. Bedroom and Bathroom
The bedroom has luxurious linens for the queen size bed, a TV and direct access to the bathroom.
The recently remodeled bathroom has a shower over tub.

A stacking washer and dryer are located in a closet off the bedroom and the complex has additional laundry facilities with pay-per-load machines that take cards, not quarters.

The unit has one assigned parking space and a small, shared garage space for parking a small to medium car, thus there is a 2-car maximum for guests staying at this vacation home though there is sometimes street parking available outside of the gate as well.

The complex has two pools - one is heated, two jacuzzis, a workout room, sauna.

Small, quiet, well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum.

This home is a monthly rental and we request that all nights of your stay are within the same calendar month. Some exceptions may be possible, with the approval of our team and the homeowner. Extended stays are often possible.
