We celebrated our 29th Wedding anniversary this year and wanted to stay in Lake Anna and near our family in Orange. Everything was wonderful! We're hoping to visit this area more often. The only small inconvenience was not having TVs in the bedrooms. So we ended up purchasing 2.
Lovely house…actually looked at listing but with no direct water access, it’s a deal breaker.Cleanliness, furnishings were awesome and well stocked kitchen!!
Beautiful, cozy home with a gorgeous view! The kids loved all the snacks the hosts provided. Beds were comfy, home was clean, towels were well stocked, so much to do in the area!
This house is absolutely amazing. Staci oh s. On the water. All amenities. The host was amazing to say the least when I asked to extend. Will for sure be back!
The house was perfect for our needs and close to the winery where we attended the VA Renaissance Faire. Everything was clean and well kept. Our teens endorsed the kayaks and the fire pit.
House was as pictured. If you do not care about being able to access the water easily then this home will be perfect for you. If you would like access to the lake then this home offers a few challenges in that regard. Beds were comfortable and I very much appreciated appreciated the amount of towels provided. the amount

About 2 night vacation
I stayed in this house for two nights, but the deck was dirty and full of insects. The entrance code to the area didn’t work, and the bedroom doors and one of the bathroom doors were stuck and hard to open. The host claimed that the toilet paper holder was broken and there was a stain on the coffee table, which was totally unfair. I’ve never had an experience like this in my entire life.
Overall the property was great, very clean inside, and this is a must in my mind. We don't do dirty. The home is very cute and great proximity to the lake, breweries, and spots for food. We only had short stay over a weekend but would love to go back for longer stay. Only things I would recommend is getting all the cob webs and saw dust cleaned up around the front door before guests arrive. The saw dust was thick and stuck to shoes, it tracked inside the home and into our vehicles. The deck and railings are beautiful though. Maybe a brighter light bulb in the light above door because at night it was very hard to see the door keypad, and it was not lit up. Great home, thank you very much for having us!!

House is cute and has all the basic necessities. Only the bedrooms have blinds, living room kitchen etc has no blinds or curtain which felt creepy at night. The property is not kept well. The dried leaves everywhere on front and back decks that we had to sweep ourselves to enjoy tome on the deck. The furniture on the patio is dirty and we had to clean ourselves as well. The grill is completely broken and unusable. Additionally, despite charging us 290 for cleaning fee the booklet in the house still told us we had to clean EVERYTHING and put them back in their place even though nothing on this listing mentioned cleaning requirements.

The house has a nice, modern interior. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was decently stocked with spices, dishes, pots/pans, etc. It was nice that they had aluminum foil and sandwich bags available. The grill was old, unclean, and had a hole in the base that was worrisome. The TV sound system was not good -- you had to turn the volume up very high to hear anything, but if kids went to sleep they could hear the TV blasting down the hall. Communication could have been better. Several days before the trip, we tried to view photos of the house but could not because the listing had been hidden. It took several messages to the host to make it available again. We also reached out during the trip about something listed as an amenity that was not available. They responded the next day and dropped it by the house, but it would have been helpful for communication to be faster. We didn't get a chance to try out the kayaks - if you don't have a way to attach them a trailer or your roof, they are too big to reasonably carry to the boat slip. The beach in the neighborhood was a nice time and a great amenity - just a 5 min drive. All in all, the experience was just okay for the price.
The place was nice until we realized it had mice. There was a dead mouse in the tub when we got there. We thought it was just a rare instance. Then there were mice running around. Mice in the couch with mouse droppings on the counter, under couch cushions, on baseboards, table, and window sill. We had to buy traps. Contacted the Host and they did send someone to drop more traps.
