About this property
Creekside Tiny house in fantastic Monteagle! Quick hike to waterfall!
Hang out in the holler at Creekside Hideaway, a beautiful tiny home situated in a private lot in the Retreat at Deer Lick Falls. Listen to the babbling brook that trickles through the backyard. It is hidden deep in the trees and comes with a spacious private porch. This time home also comes with a fire pit with chairs and grill.
The Retreat at Deer Lick Falls is a gated tiny home community in southeast Tennessee. The community is only 15 minutes from the University of the South in Sewanee. It is also a short drive from Nashville, Chattanooga, and a couple hours from Atlanta.
Located atop Monteagle Mountain halfway between Chattanooga and Nashville, Monteagle is the gateway to the outdoor adventure within South Cumberland State Park (3 minutes away), The famous Caverns (featuring both cave tours and doubling for cave concerts), and Clay Shooting nearby. Monteagle is part of a unique cultural history that developed along the Cumberland Plateau in the late 19th century that is still being celebrated today.
The community is equipped with fire pits, walking trails, water falls, playground, camp like setting with all the amenities. W/D, kitchen, loft, private bath, cozy fireplace and private master bedroom.
Tons to do: Hiking, mountain biking, cave tours, Sewanee (college, church & sightseeing), local eateries, coffee shops, exploring- all in the surrounding area.
Creekside Hideaway - Tiny House Retreat – A Cozy Escape Nestled in Nature
Tucked away at the end of a long private drive, this charming 400 sq. ft. tiny house in a gated community, offers a rare level of privacy, making it a truly unique escape in nature and feels anything but tiny! Far from the hustle and bustle, nestled in the forest, you'll find yourself immersed in tranquility, with nothing but the sounds of your own peaceful creek and the rustling of leaves to keep you company.
The creek that runs alongside the property adds to the magic of this location, with a gentle trickle offering a serene backdrop during drier months, and transforming into a lively, babbling stream after rain—perfect for winding down after a day of hiking or adventure.
Creekside Hideaway is nestled on over an acre of land, creating a spacious and expansive feel that stretches far beyond the footprint of the house. With plenty of outdoor space to explore, you'll feel like you have the whole world to yourself. Whether you're sipping coffee on the oversized deck, lounging in one of the hammocks strung between trees, or gathering around the outdoor firepit, the natural beauty of this place will make every moment feel like a retreat.
Inside, the tiny house is a cozy haven designed for both relaxation and comfort, large enough to sleep 5. The Owner’s bedroom, tucked away with a sliding door, features a cozy full size bed, and up the short staircase, a loft area features sleeping for 3 with a full-size bed and a twin bed, with a playful overlook of the family room below and forest through the 2nd floor windows like a treehouse! The two story layout of the great room, also featuring a warm and inviting fireplace and wall of windows, for plenty of natural light.
With a kitchen equipped with essentials, including microwave, toaster, coffee pot and Keurig - you can enjoy making meals in the oven or grill - or takeout from one of the local eateries. While there is no dishwasher - you’ll have the chance to appreciate the simple way of life as you do a few dishes by hand. There is also a Washer/Dryer for a quick load of laundry, in case of a muddy or rainy hike, or just not waiting to go home with any laundry!
The expansive deck and designated fire pit area, provides the perfect spot for stargazing, roasting marshmallows, and creating memories. The remote controlled string lights add a bit of fun- as they twinkle above to light your way.
Also enjoy other amenities to explore: 3 different hiking trails (easy, medium & challenging - but worth it as it leads to a secret waterfall), playground and pavilions with rocking chairs to enjoy.
Though it feels wonderfully secluded, this tiny house is conveniently located near all the essentials. A short drive brings you to local grocery stores, charming restaurants, a cozy coffee shop, and trailheads that lead to some of the best hiking and cave exploring in the area. The nearby famous Caverns feature cave tours and also doubles as a concert venue, offers a unique experience to enjoy live music in an unforgettable setting.
With its one-of-a-kind privacy, spacious outdoor area, and the soothing sounds of the creek, this tiny house retreat is the ultimate place to unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the best of both adventure and relaxation. Whether you're here for the hiking or want to simply to relax in nature, or finally finished that book you’ve been trying to for years, our special home promises an unforgettable stay and we are excited to share it with you!
