It was our third year in a row staying here and it did not disappoint. It has everything you need and more. The location is perfect smack in the middle between Salida and Monarch Ski Resort. It has always been clean and comfortable.

Wonderful stay for skiing at Monarch mountain. Property was exactly as described, and hosts had a well stocked cabinet of spices and general cooking supplies!

We are happy to hear you were pleased with your visit
Such a beautiful little place. Relatively private with the river going right through the property- the river bank seemed like a great place for fairies to reside! The cabin was very cozy and inviting, and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook our breakfast and dinners. Would definitely stay here again!
Felt more like I was staying in someone's home than in a rental property. Enjoyed the seclusion and privacy. Will call to rent on next trip to Colorado.
The listing did not disappoint. The sound of the water at night, the stars in the night sky, the way the property was tucked away, all wonderful. Host was very communitive. We only had a brief stay but could imagine rebooking in the future.
We live in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. It has been a long time dream to live in Colorado, this cabin is a start. We feel quite fortunate to be able to share this special spot with other travelers.
Why they chose this property
We loved the river, convenient location to year round activities and the town of Salida. This area offers all we were looking for and so much more.
What makes this property unique
The cabin has all the conveniences you could want, but the river and fire pit give a feeling of camping outdoors. We get the best of both worlds. It is peaceful to sit under the covered porch and watch the rain or enjoy whatever wildlife might happen by.
