About this property

SECLUDED LAKE FRONT LOG CABIN

Located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, just south of Charlottesville (about 20 minutes) you will find this beautiful, hand built 3 story lake side log cabin. You'll fall in love with this little slice of heaven nestled in the woods on our 300 acre family farm. For a real twist, we've designed our mountain getaway to include a white sandy beach with tropical banana trees that grow in the summer. Swim in the lake and enjoy our floating dock. ALSO Located right on the farm is WOOD RIDGE FARM BREWERY and our FIRED UP FOOD TRUCK and wood fired brick pizza oven. The brewery boasts the largest LOVE sign on the east coast, a golf driving range, volleyball, corn hole, and other outside activities.
The cabin has two bedrooms (one with a king size bed; the second bedroom has a full size bed and a queen size bed, and there is a day bed in between), 1 bathroom, a modern kitchen (also there is a gas grill and a fire pit). The living room hosts a large screen TV to watch all your favorite sports and movies, along with a pool table. Outdoor activities include fishing (don't forget your pole!), hiking (we have several trails throughout the farm), kayaking, or just relaxing on the beach! Bring your own kayak or canoe to paddle around on the lake or hop on the nearby Rock Fish River (river conditions permitting).
We are located about 12 miles from Wintergreen ski resort and close to several local wineries, breweries, and antique stores.
A perfect set up for an all guy's fishing trip or even a romantic weekend get away for two. Enjoy a romantic fire on the beach or cuddle up on the balcony off the main bedroom that over-looks the lake. Grill a juicy steak on the grill or walk up to the food truck located at the brewery! When renting the cabin, you have exclusive use of the entire facility: cabin, lake, and beach.

Beautiful Cabin with enough amenities. I definitely recommend staying here and we will definitely be back for another stay. We arrived during a bad thunderstorm but check in was easy. We had off n on bad weather during our stay. The pots and pans could use updating but worked well enough. We brought steaks looking forward to grilling outside. The grill looked disgusting like it hadn't been cleaned in some time but wasn't a deal breaker. Barry is awesome and I'm certain if we mentioned it he would have taken care of it. Pool table does not have all the balls and cue sticks need replacement but we played 9 ball a few times during rainy weather. Window ac units do need cleaning as well. The pedal boat is half sunk and not functioning but there is an awesome floating dock with a picnic table on it. Had fun fishing and using my SUP. Fire pit was great. Plenty of seating on the decks just missing cushions. The outdoor space does need updating but worked well enough for our needs. Posted pictures should be updated. The brewery was great. They even sell fresh eggs! We had 2 failed attempts at buying em before they sold out. Later in the day, after our second try, barry came down to the cabin and brought us some. He is an awesome host! We definitely can't wait to come back and check out the trails.
