About this property

Poconos Treehouse - Architecturally Unique Home at 5-star Lake Naomi Club

If interested in renting for 2 or more weeks in SUMMER 2026, please contact us and we will work with you on dates and discounts. We have all allotted Temporary Club Memberships available for renters to purchase if desired. This is our second home (not a rental property) so we rent in multiple week time intervals to match the club temporary memberships. Discounts are available for multiple-week bookings.

House Description: Updated, mid-century modern cottage in the 5-star Platinum Lake Naomi community. The one-of-a-kind architectural design from the 60's spirals upward to create what guests have described as like being in a tree house. Double-height living room, large windows and skylights in most rooms provide lots of light and views of the woods. Large wood deck with Adirondack chairs just outside dining room sliding door overlooks woods and fire pit. Primary and second bedrooms each have tall ceilings and private covered balconies. Third bedroom has custom built-in bunk beds and a loft bed with a peek-out window that kids love. All bedrooms have skylights with shades for those who would rather not wake up with the sun. Ceiling fans in all rooms and AC units in primary and third bedrooms.

Lake Naomi Club (LNC) is a private club accessible to renters with an optional but very highly-recommended purchase of a LNC Temporary Membership.* It includes a beautiful 9-hole golf course, Har-true tennis courts (with a brand new clubhouse), 3 pools (1 on the lake, 1 indoor with kids area, 1 with climbing wall), spa (great for a rainy day), sailboat and kayak rentals, 4 beaches, archery range, 2 clubhouses for dining, indoor recreation center for Pickleball and more.

A huge plus is our great location only a 5-minute walk to the lake and stunning outdoor pool. When pool parking is full on busy weekends you can easily walk. All are available with the purchase of a temporary club membership* that we truly feel is worth every penny for this 5-star Platinum club. Please see more below.*

About the host

Hosted by Craig Griffen

Host profile image
We are the Griffens, a family of 5 with 3 20-something boys who bought the house in 2016 as place to make new memories. We often use it as a weekend and summer escape from our home outside Philly. As an architecture professor I enjoy continually redesigning and updating it.

Why they chose this property

We looked at communities in the Poconos area (within a 2-hour driving radius of our home so we would be sure to go often) and Lake Naomi was the clear choice because of how much more beautiful and pristine the area is. Lake Naomi Club had all the amenities you could want (for a reasonable fee) with few of the pretensions you might expect with a private club.

What makes this property unique

The architect-designed house was built in the late sixties towards the end of the mid-century modern architecture movement, so incorporates some of that style's best features. While not a large floor area at just over 1000 square feet, it feels very spacious because of the tall ceilings, large windows and easy access to 2 outside decks and 2 balconies. Kids love some of the added features like the custom bunk beds and peek-out window. The...um... "unique" singing deer head came with the house and the boys insisted we keep it. You may tell your kids it makes sound at your own risk. :)
