We had an amazing stay - the house is beautiful and full of interesting treasures that I so enjoyed discovering. Everything was clean and in perfect working condition. We found the kitchen to be very well equipped with everything we could need and then some! Location was great - we've been coming to Wellfleet for over 20 years and love the convenience an in-town location. Host was very attentive and easy to communicate with. We hope to be back in the future.

We had a lovely getaway here! The house is absolutely fantastic and the pictures don’t even do it justice. Communication with the hosts was so easy and they were so proactive. Something to be aware of is that the steps up to the top floor bedrooms are quite steep. This was no problem for us, but if you have folks in your party, who might find that difficult, it is best to plan to put them in the lower bedrooms of which there are three. The location is perfect and there is so many cute shops and experiences nearby. All of the bathrooms were amazing and we could pnot believe how many there were in the house. The kitchen is stocked with literally everything you could possibly imagine. We would come back here in a heartbeat.

The historic farmhouse was a wonderful gathering place for our extended family of 7 adults and 5 small children. Everyone had their own private space and all appreciated the opportunity to talk, eat, and play in the dining Rome, exceedingly well equipped kitchen, and amazingly restored barn/living room. We took full advantage of beaches (ocean, town, and pond), fresh seafood, and convenient grocery market in Wellfleet.

My friends and I had an amazing stay for our annual trip to the Wellfleet Oysterfest. The house layout and amenities were perfect for our group of 8. Each bedroom has its own en-suite bath, and the common areas are somewhat separated from the bedrooms, allowing for ample privacy/solitude as needed. The house is thoughtfully and beautifully decorated and appointed throughout. As other reviewers have noted, the kitchen is especially well-equipped (I regret that we mostly ate out this trip!), and is a beautiful place to gather over food and drinks -- the photos of it don't quite do the morning and evening light justice! The location is walkable to Main Street, Uncle Tim's Bridge, Mac's Shack, and the Pier -- all places we visited during our stay. The info in the guest welcome book is clear and thorough, and the hosts responsive and communicative. A truly wonderful experience; we look forward to making it a tradition!

Beautiful property. Easy walk to downtown. Huge patio was warm and wind protected late fall. Zero complaints - we loved every minute.

We chose The Jaunty Cow this summer for a memorable family reunion and so glad we did. The owners have lovingly restored the property with true reverence for the history of a historic dwelling. The bathrooms, kitchen and pantry have been updated and modernized while maintaining the character of a house from 1820. It’s just around the corner from town and easily walkable to the water , galleries and restaurants. We will definitely be back - miss it already

If I could give this house ten stars, I would. Brian and Doriot welcome you to enjoy the history of this unique home and supply you with every comfort you would want on your vacation. Check-in was easy. Each room is a jewel, clean and immaculate. The beds are extremely comfortable (linens and towels are supplied). The kitchen is well stocked (plenty of plates and cookware). It's flooded with gorgeous light in the day and the most wonderful gathering space. We particularly found interest in their collection of books. We made a ritual of walking to the village each day for ice cream, farmer's market produce, coffee or sandwiches. Beaches are all close, and beach accessories are also supplied. Our family got the chance to truly unwind and be together, while also exploring a new part of the Cape. We thank our lovely hosts for all their effort and creativity in restoring the property so beautifully and for their communication, which was very prompt and helpful. While this house is full of history, it's so comfortable and spacious, a family can make it their own. We cherish our time there and hope we can return one day soon!

Brian and Doriot have done an amazing job in terms of restoring this historic property, but also updating it for the 21st century. The kitchen is particularly fantastic - really well equipped with quality tools and appliances - if there are cooks in your party, they'll be in heaven. There was plenty of room for our three-generation family; we especially liked spending a rainy day in the former milking barn. And the location is ideal - you're in town and walkable to everything but it's quiet and peaceful in the evenings (except for the bells of the church next door, which seemed to ring at random times - they need to reprogram those bells!) We had a wonderful time at this house.
