About this property
Large Victorian Home Overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and York Harbor Beach
Water, water everywhere! This house has the most fabulous location.
Our spacious sun porch overlooking peaceful York Harbor and the Atlantic Ocean offers an ideal spot for a leisurely meal or to linger and watch the yachts and sailboats come and go. Lush lawn and gardens sloping down to the water’s edge provide a tranquil setting for a good book or a refreshing drink, or simply lean back in the Adirondack chairs and let the sea breezes ease your mind.
Take a walk on our deep water pier for an even closer look at the harbor activity. The view of the sunset from the pier’s edge is unforgettable. On the other side, you’ll discover York Harbor Beach just steps away from our front door (500ft to be exact), perfect for swimming, sunbathing and beach combing. The Cliff Path wanders atop rocky ledges and offers many great vistas of the crashing ocean waves below. And don't forget the Harbor Walk which meanders along York Harbor and the York River. Two great restaurants are within a 5-minute walk of the house. The location is fabulous.
This massive turn-of-the-century Victorian estate has approx. 10,000 square feet of living space. There are 9 bedrooms, 7 baths and laundry facilities. We provide Adirondack chairs, beach chairs, beach towels, and shower products to cover everyone in your group. There is a garage where you can store your bikes, paddle boards, etc. All rooms have fast WIFI and A/C. Large dining room table. Extra large kitchen plus a kitchenette / sitting room with total of 3 refrigerators! Additional rooms were opened up for the 2022 season so reviews prior to 2022 don't reflect the enlarged offering. New, high-quality AC units were added to all bedrooms in 2024.
The yard space is very versatile and enjoyable. Past guests have set up an inflatable pool for kids, a canopy for shade, and of course yard games. The harbor is fun for fishing, paddle boards, kayaks, etc. but bring some water shoes (the harbor is muddy)! There is a grill ready for you, with extra propane tanks.
There are a few things you should know. The decor of the house is older. There is a long-term tenant who lives in a basement apartment; both spaces are secure from one another with separate entrances. The dock is utilized by about 10 boats; it is fully booked but sometimes a visiting boat can be accommodated. There is separate parking on the far side of the house for dock members. There is a security camera on the exterior of the house. The pool that you might notice in satellite photos belongs to a condo association and unfortunately is not open to the public. Feel free to ask questions about any of this.

We have rented this lovely house for 3 years now, and always enjoy ourselves. The large dining table with harbor view, several seating areas including the sun room, and local beach are great for the three generations of our family. Phillip, the house manager, is attentive and helpful. We’ll be returning next summer.
This is a lovely property and it was comfortable for our large family. The beautiful view of the harbor and proximity to the beach added to the charm. The provisions for the children( high chair, baby gate) were helpful. Philip was a pleasure to work with. We hope to return next year.
Our family of 16, including a couple of toddlers loved this house. Each family had their own room and bathrooms. Thanks for having a baby gate and playpens available. The kitchen and dining areas were large enough for us to prepare and sit down and eat our meals together. The area around the house was so quiet and the view of the harbor and nearby beach was beautiful. The weather did not allow us to utilize the paddle boat or other beach items, but appreciate that they were available. There was plenty of parking and we loved all the chairs outside for watching the boats in the harbor and lovely sunsets. Not sure we will ever get up that way again, but would definitely try to book it if we do
We have rented big beach houses before for a yearly family vacation and this house is hands down the best we have rented. Positives: views (both ocean and harbor), AC in all the rooms if needed, well stocked kitchen, quiet.
We had a large family group and this house was perfect. Lots of bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen space. The property is well maintained, clean and located near many attractions.
This house was fabulous and perfect for our large family. Everything we needed was all at the house, from the large kitchen to all of the bedrooms with bathrooms. The large dining table was a nice way to have our family dinners every night, with lots of talk about the days adventures. This house was ideal for 14 adults and 4 little ones. If I could give more than 5 stars for this house, I would, and we are planning on coming back next year.
Every member of our party enjoyed this house! It’s very well laid out, beautifully furnished, well maintained and clean. The location was ideal, close to the beach and a lovely walking trail. Great views from every room. Couldn’t ask for more!
My family had a wonderful time. We have 4 families with 5 children, and the home was big enough for all to have separate bedrooms and gathering areas. I highly recommend staying here.
In addition, Nathan the host was extremely friendly and responsive.
We hosted a 90th birthday party with family and this house couldn’t have been more perfect. Great location. Gorgeous views. House is comfortable, clean and well appointed. It easily accommodates a big group. Highly recommend.
This property ticked all the boxes for our extended family vacation: more than enough space for a large group to have both privacy and togetherness, beautiful views, easy access to a great beach for small children, kitchen large enough to accommodate multiple cooks, excellent laundry facilities. Host provided a very detailed house manual that was a significant help to vacation planning.
We all had a wonderful time in York Harbor, beautiful home, fantastic location, great weather....what more can I say!!
We all loved it!!
Thank you Nathan!!
Our group of 17 found the property very welcoming with plenty of room to find a quiet space when needed. The kitchen facility was spacious for the multiple cooks and helpers. The children ages 5 to 10 loved the place and want to return. The location was confident to the beach and walking distance to the town. One suggestion would be to update the outside grill.
The perfect home, location and amenities for our annual (extended) family vacation
This was perfect for our large and growing family (17 of us!!)
Everyone had space and comfort - yet we also had plenty of places to gather and hang out.
The picturesque view and setting are incredible. And the proximity to the beach makes a beach day so simple and enjoyable.
Nathan is a wonderful host. He’s communicative, responsive and kind.
We’ve already reserved next year!
Beautiful house on the water with plenty of space for everyone.
Chris was great in responding to all our questions. Everything was clean and tidy. We wish the kitchen was a little larger but it was very acceptable. The walks along the trails made the location ideal. Would highly recommend this house for any family gathering or reunion.

Thanks for the kind review. Glad you enjoyed yourselves
17 of us ages 73 to 3. We had enough bedrooms and baths to go around. The kitchen was huge. We were walking distance to the beach. Our manager was always available to answer our questions. I highly recommend.
We are a family of 14 with ages ranging from 18 months to 75 years old.The house was perfect for our family. The large dining table was able to fit everyone around and the views of the harbor were perfect.Close proximity to the beach was great for the children 6 through 14 and adults. The rooms were good and all had air conditioning units. We completed 3 of the jigsaws that were there. The large kitchen had plenty of dishware , glasses , utensils etc.We appreciated the wagon and beach toys and chairs that were available for our stay.We all had a great time and look forward to visiting Maine again in the future.
Already planning our return! This house was everything we needed and more. We brought family together from all over the country, and it was the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and spend quality time. The location was ideal—close to the beach, town, and walking trails. Some of us jogged to Nubble Light, others took easy strolls along the harbor. Cold ocean dips became a daily ritual! The house itself is super spacious and well set up. The big kitchen had everything we needed to cook for our crew of 11, and when we didn’t feel like cooking, Foster’s was right down the road. The sun porch quickly became everyone’s favorite spot—perfect for coffee in the morning, reading in the afternoon, and cocktails at night with that amazing view. We’ve already decided we’re coming back next summer. Highly recommend this place for any big family trip or gathering!
